If you regularly have a craving for delicious Asian cuisine, then you’ll definitely want to give this recipe a try.
Not only does this chicken taste amazing, but it’s super simple to make, requiring only a few ingredients and a couple of hours in a crock pot.
This is one of those meals that our family likes to eat regularly, and leftovers are never an issue!
Step 1: Lightly spray bottom of crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2: Dice boneless, skinless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and carefully dice ½ of a small onion. Add both to the crockpot and lightly season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: In a small bowl combine honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Whisk together until mixed well.
Step 4: Carefully pour mixture over chicken in crockpot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1 ½ hours- 2 ½ hours.
Step 5: Once chicken is fully cooked, remove chicken from crockpot and carefully pour sauce into a sauce pan. Add cornstarch to the sauce and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. (About 5-10 minutes)
Step 6: Re-combine chicken and sauce and stir well. Serve chicken over white rice and add sesame seeds to taste.
