Cinnamon Sugar Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Cinnamon Sugar Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins are the most delicious banana muffins ever! They bake in 12-15 minutes and are great for breakfast or dessert!

  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 large bananas mashed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a small microwavable bowl. Set aside to cool.
  3. Combine flour and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Using a separate bowl combine mashed bananas, sugar, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  5. Add wet ingredients in with dry ingredients until incorporated. Gently fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
  6. Place 1/4 cup of batter in each tin of a well-sprayed muffin pan.
  7. Mix together sugar and cinnamon in a bowl for the muffin topping.
  8. Using a spoon lightly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over each muffin. With a toothpick, swirl throughout the top of the muffin and sprinkle with more mixture, as desired. Top with additional chocolate chips.
  9. Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
