Learn how to make 3 Easy Halloween Brownies made with a boxed brownie mix and decorated to look like cute bats, mummies, and spooky monsters.

Ingredients

Instructions

Halloween Brownies

  1. Prepare brownie mix as directed on the box, substituting milk for water to make brownies fudgier, if desired.
  2. Pour into a parchment paper lined 9×13 baking dish and bake in the oven as directed on the box for fudge-like brownies.
  3. Let brownies cool completely on a wire cooling rack. Lift up parchment paper and remove from pan, transferring to a cutting board.
  4. Use a sharp paring knife or plastic knife and cut into even squares.
  5. Decorate each brownie as instructed below and enjoy!

Bat Brownies

  1. Fill a piping bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off with chocolate frosting and pipe on a dollop swirl of chocolate frosting in the middle of the brownie.
  2.  Untwist an OREO, remove the white filling, and carefully cut one side of the cookie in half using a sharp, pairing knife.
  3. Place the halves of chocolate cookie at the back side of the chocolate frosting dollop, overlapping it slightly to form the bat wings.
  4. Add the candy eyes on the chocolate frosting to complete your cute little brownie bats!

Mummy Brownies

  1. Microwave white chocolate wafers in a microwave safe bowl, until melted and smooth.
  2. Fill a piping bag or Ziploc bag with a small corner snipped off with the white chocolate.
  3. Drizzle small lines of melted white chocolate across your brownie to create your mummy. You can also add zig zags for variation.
  4. Add candy eyes on top of the white strips to create the mummy eyes.

Spooky Monster Brownies

  1. Add green food coloring to vanilla frosting and mix until evenly combined.
  2. Spoon a dollop at the top of each brownie and spread across. Don’t worry about it being perfect, this just adds to the spooky monster character.
  3. Add sprinkles and candy eyes, and decorate as desired. My boys loved adding variation here and getting creative – some were one-eyed monsters, some had 5 eyes, and some were traditional two-eyed monsters.
