Simple Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken Breast Marinade
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp lemon pepper seasoning, low sodium preferred
- Salt and pepper, sprinkled on chicken
Easy Italian Barbecue Grilled Chicken Breast Marinade
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s is my fave)
- 1/2 cup italian dressing with olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, sprinkled on chicken
Instructions
- Whisk all the ingredients together and pour over chicken breast in a sealed bag.
- Refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours before grilling.
- First add all your wet ingredients in a bowl, then add in your dry ingredients, and whip together with a whisk. Set aside.
- Next, trim away any fat off the chicken breast and slice to make uniform pieces for more even cooking. For juicer chicken, I also like to use this tenderizer.
- Lightly salt and pepper chicken, as desired.
- Next, grab a large resealable bag, add in the chicken, and pour the marinade in the bag. Seal the bag and give it a good shake to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed on the meat.
- Refrigerate overnight (preferred) or at least 2 hours to let the flavor of the marinade soak in.
- Once it’s had time to marinate, place chicken on a preheated grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165ยบ F. (I highly recommend this cooking thermometer
- Once grilled chicken breast is fully cooked, allow the chicken to cool/rest for at least 5 minutes before eating.
- Serve with rice and veggies or on top of a salad and enjoy!
Notes
The lemon pepper recipe yields enough marinade for 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, and the italian barbecue yields enough marinade for 4-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts.
