Easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

These delicious and easy peanut butter chocolate chip bars are made in a 13×9 pan using a cake mix, creamy peanut butter, cream cheese, and topped with semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and spray a 13×9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Using an electric hand mixer, beat cake mix, 2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter, and large egg in a large mixing bowl on low-medium speed, until combined and crumbly.
  3. Use your hands or a fork to press the crumb mixture into the bottom of the greased baking pan until evenly spread.
  4. In the same large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and 1/3 cup of peanut butter with an electric hand mixer until combined. Next add in sugar and milk and mix together until smooth.
  5. Carefully pour cream cheese and peanut butter mixture over crust. Spread evenly with a spatula and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  6. Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and center is set.
  7. Let bars cool completely on a wire cooling rack before cutting with a plastic knife.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Once bars have cooled completely, cut and store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.ย If desired, reheat the bars in the microwave for 15-30 seconds before eating, or enjoy cold.

Bars can also be frozen for up to 3 months in a freezer safe bag or container.
