How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

Step 1:Β Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and spray 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2:Β Using an electric mixer, beat cake mix, 2/3 cup of peanut butter, and egg in large mixing bowl, until crumbly.

Step 3: Press crumb mixture with a fork into a greased baking pan, until evenly spread.

Step 4:Β In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup of peanut butter with electric mixer until smooth. Slowly add in milk and sugar until fully incorporated.

Step 5:Β Carefully pour cream cheese and peanut butter mixture over crust. Spread evenly and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Step 6:Β Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and center is set.

Step 7: Let the peanut butter chocolate chip bars cool completely before cutting with a plastic knife. Store leftover bars in refrigerator for up to 5 days.

These peanut butter chocolate chip bars are simply divine straight out of the oven, but I also love eating them the next day after they’ve been in the fridge. They really do taste like peanut butter cheesecake and pair perfectly with a tall, cold glass of milk. You can also warm up leftover bars in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, if you don’t want them cold. Either way, they’re delish!
