It’s also super quick to whip together when we’re craving something sweet and because you just throw them in a 9×13 pan, these peanut butter chocolate chip bars are great for taking to family gatherings and parties. To make these chocolate chip peanut butter bars, you’ll first need to grab all your ingredients including a yellow cake mix, creamy peanut butter, cream cheese (softened), milk, sugar, semi sweet chocolate chips, and an egg. I’ve also included some of my favorite kitchen tools below that I love using whenever I bake these peanut butter bars.
Recommended Tools:
How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and spray 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2: Using an electric mixer, beat cake mix, 2/3 cup of peanut butter, and egg in large mixing bowl, until crumbly.
Step 3: Press crumb mixture with a fork into a greased baking pan, until evenly spread.
Step 4: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup of peanut butter with electric mixer until smooth. Slowly add in milk and sugar until fully incorporated.
Step 5: Carefully pour cream cheese and peanut butter mixture over crust. Spread evenly and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Step 6: Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and center is set.
Step 7: Let the peanut butter chocolate chip bars cool completely before cutting with a plastic knife. Store leftover bars in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
These peanut butter chocolate chip bars are simply divine straight out of the oven, but I also love eating them the next day after they’ve been in the fridge. They really do taste like peanut butter cheesecake and pair perfectly with a tall, cold glass of milk. You can also warm up leftover bars in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, if you don’t want them cold. Either way, they’re delish!
Just look at all that peanut butter chocolate deliciousness and tell me you don’t want one!
