I’m Cara Owens, police wife, boy mom of two, food and Christian blogger, and follower of Jesus.
Established in 2015, Kindly Unspoken is a food and Christian blog featuring homemade recipes, faith content, and biblical encouragement for women.
As a blogger, writer, singer, and worship leader I have a heart for helping women discover their true identity in Christ to live life more abundantly.
In a world full of lies, it is my mission to point others to the restorative truth, light, and hope found in Jesus.
About Cara
- I’m 35 and live in Kentucky with my husband and two sons.
- I’m a proud Christian and love sharing my faith in Jesus Christ.
- I hold a Master’s Degree in Managerial Communications & Marketing and have always been super creative.
- I’m currently writing my first book and can’t wait to share it!

About Kindly Unspoken
Kindly Unspoken is a food and Christian blog with weekly homemade recipes and faith & biblical encouragement for women.
I’ve been blogging since November 2015, blogging full-time since 2017, and I absolutely love my job.
Prior to 2023 I published mostly beauty and fashion content , but God called me to shift my focus to recipes and faith content.
Cara’s Recipes
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved to bake and loved spending time in the kitchen with my Mom and Mamaw.
Now that I’m a Mom I love passing down the tradition to my boys and we love to cook together.
This passion led me to launch my YouTube Channel Cara’s Recipes in 2021.

I love to share biblical encouragement, uplifting scripture, and printable bible verses that remind women who they are in Christ.
As Psalms 119:105 reminds us, God’s word is “a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
