Hi, I’m Cara and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a police wife, mom of two boys, food + faith blogger, writer, and worship leader + singer who loves Jesus and living life more abundantly.
About Cara Owens
- I’m 36 and live in Kentucky with my husband, two sons, and goldendoodle.
- I’m a multi-passionate creative and no matter what I’m doing, I live by 1 Corinthians 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
- I hold a Master’s Degree in Managerial Communications & Marketing and have been an online content creator for over a decade.

About Kindly Unspoken
- Established in 2015, Kindly Unspoken is a food and Christian blog with easy homemade recipes and faith & biblical encouragement for women.
- As a multi-passionate creative, my work is split between creating yummy recipes, designing printable Christian art, and writing.
- Prior to 2023, I shared mostly beauty and fashion content, but that worldly lifestyle prevented me from growing in my faith and bearing any real fruit.
- Thankfully, God nudged me to a better path and I now have a heart for helping women discover the hope-filled, abundant life in Christ.
- I’m currently writing my first book and I pray that it will encourage women to grow a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Cara’s Recipes
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved to bake and loved spending time in the kitchen with my Mom and Mamaw.
Now that I’m a Mom I love passing down the tradition to my boys and we love to cook together.
This passion led me to launch my YouTube Channel Cara’s Recipes in 2021.

I personally struggled with striving, perfectionism, and overachieving for many years before realizing that Jesus never asked me to do it all or be it all.
