3 Ways to Style a Utility Vest for Fall

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I don’t know about you all but I’m getting so pumped for Thanksgiving and getting together with all of my family! We’re having an early Thanksgiving dinner this weekend at my brother and sister-in-law’s house, and I’m really excited to see everyone and catch up. Plus, I must admit I’m pretty excited about turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy lol.

Anyways, I’m so excited to be back today with a fashion post on one of my new favorite items this fall- an olive utility vest! And you’ll never believe where I found it!  Sam’s Club, ya’ll. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy, but seriously how cute is it? This vest features the perfect drawstring waist and the cutest pockets!

If you’ve been debating purchasing a utility/cargo vest for awhile, I’ll just go ahead and tell you it’s such a versatile piece for your wardrobe- most especially in the fall months. Although I styled it three different ways today, I could probably come up with another 5 ways right off the top of my head. Whether you dress it up or down, it looks adorable on literally every shape and this specific one really accentuates the waist. And in case you have zero luck finding one in your local store, I found an almost identical one on Zulily right now!

Outfit 1: Basic Casual- Perfect for everyday wear!

For this look I paired gorgeous wine colored leggings with a basic black top and cute high heeled boots, and added in a floral scarf to tie it all together.

It’s such a simple, basic look yet it would look adorable for everyday wear for the Fall season.

Outfit 2: Chic Fashionista- Perfect for shopping & a lunch date!

I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to finally break out my black hat this Fall, and it seemed like the obvious choice paired with this utility vest. To complete the look I chose a black and white leopard top, dark skinny denim jeans (cuffed), and super adorable black booties from Target.

This look is perfect for a day out shopping with the girls or looking super chic while going on a safari- you take your pick! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Outfit 3: Dressy Autumn- Perfect for date night or dinner with friends!

I cannot tell you how much I love the color of this sweater– it’s so pretty! And when you match it up with this olive colored vest, it’s the perfect choice. To complete this autumn inspired look, I paired it with my fave white skinnies from Belk, added in a gorgeous gold layered necklace, and the softest, suede, over-the-knee boots ever.

I simply adore the back v-detail on the vest too and how it mimics the look of the over-the-knee boots- so cute!
