Day Time Look

Step 1: Apply foundation, concealer, and setting powder on the face. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply the shade “Nectar” all-over the lid, stopping at the crease.

Step 2: Apply a light coat of black or brown mascara to the upper eyelashes.

Step 3: Apply a neutral shade lipstick to the lips for all-day wear. I’m wearing Wet n’ Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in “Will You Be With Me”.

Night Time Look

Step 1: Using a contour eyeshadow brush, apply the shade “Plum” to the outer corner of the eye, creating almost a slight triangle shape.

Step 2: Using the e.l.f. studio eyeshadow “c” brush, begin blending the “plum” shade out into the crease. Place the brush directly above the purple shade and lightly begin sweeping the shadow back and forth in the crease. The purpose of this is to make the darker shade not look as harsh on the eye and to create a softer, more sultry look.

Using the same brush sweep the shade “beige” above the crease from the inner corner of the eye to where the purple shade meets. This is to help make your eyes look brighter and more awake after a long day.

Step 3: Apply black eyeliner to the upper lid. I’m using Rimmel’s ScandalEyes Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Step 4: Apply 2-3 coats of lengthening/volumizing mascara to both the upper and lower lashline. I’m using Covergirl’s Awesome SuperSizer Mascara, which I reviewed here.

Step 5: Apply a light shade of blush to the cheekbones. I chose to use a shade that also has a highlighter in it to really brighten up my cheeks.

    1. Thank-you! Yep, I’m a drugstore junkie. I mean I love the higher end stuff too, but it’s a lot more inaccessible to people and I want to show people you don’t necessarily have to spend a fortune to create pretty makeup looks. 🙂

  1. Both of these looks are great. I look the lip colors on you and you have such a great smile. This is one of the best tutorials I have seen on makeup in awhile!

    1. Thank-you! I find that it’s so much easier to just build upon your previous look for the day. Definitely saves time 🙂

  5. Your Make up looks gorgeous…I suck at make up ..ha so am always looking for tips. I love that lipstick color you chose, very bright and cheery!

  6. I love that you wear lipstick for both day and night. A lot of makeup tutorials that I’ve seen only use lipstick for night looks and opt for lip gloss during the day. You look fantastic.

  7. I love the differences in your daytime to nighttime looks. I usually just do eyeliner in the day and add shadow at night.

  8. Love the pink lips!! I just can’t pull off a bright pink…I look better with darker lips, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing it!! Haha! You look beautiful! Also a little thing I do to make my eyes look more awake it to take a cream eyeliner in beige, or nude color and line your lower water line!! Works wonders!!
