Easy Day-to-Night Makeup Tutorial

Easy Day to Night Makeup Tutorial

Easy Day-to-Night Makeup Tutorial

Today I’m showing you how to take a simple day-time look and transform it into a sultry, beautiful night-time look. This look uses only 3 eyeshadow colors and will have you looking fabulous for your next date in no time. This look is perfect for all of us busy gals out there who may not have a whole hour to get ready for an evening out, and can be completed in just 15 minutes or less.

Products Used:

  • Lorac Pro 2 Palette (Shades Nectar, Plum, and Beige)
  • Rimmel London 9-in-1 Skin Perfecting BB Cream in Light
  • Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in Very Fair/Light
  • e.l.f. Setting Powder
  • Loreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara (for day look)
  • Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara (for night look)
  • Rimmel London ScandalEyes Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner
  • Wet n’ Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in “Will you be with me” (for day look)
  • Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick in “Bombshell Pink” (for night look)
  • Hard Candy Baked Blush in “Glow all the way”

Day Time Look

Easy Day to Night Makeup Tutorial

Step 1: Apply foundation, concealer, and setting powder on the face. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply the shade “Nectar” all-over the lid, stopping at the crease.

Step 2: Apply a light coat of black or brown mascara to the upper eyelashes.

Step 3: Apply a neutral shade lipstick to the lips for all-day wear. I’m wearing Wet n’ Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in “Will You Be With Me”.

Night Time Look

Easy Day to Night Makeup Tutorial

Step 1: Using a contour eyeshadow brush, apply the shade “Plum” to the outer corner of the eye, creating almost a slight triangle shape.

Step 2: Using the e.l.f. studio eyeshadow “c” brush, begin blending the “plum” shade out into the crease. Place the brush directly above the purple shade and lightly begin sweeping the shadow back and forth in the crease. The purpose of this is to make the darker shade not look as harsh on the eye and to create a softer, more sultry look.

Using the same brush sweep the shade “beige” above the crease from the inner corner of the eye to where the purple shade meets. This is to help make your eyes look brighter and more awake after a long day.

Step 3: Apply black eyeliner to the upper lid. I’m using Rimmel’s ScandalEyes Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Step 4: Apply 2-3 coats of lengthening/volumizing mascara to both the upper and lower lashline. I’m using Covergirl’s Awesome SuperSizer Mascara, which I reviewed here.

Step 5: Apply a light shade of blush to the cheekbones. I chose to use a shade that also has a highlighter in it to really brighten up my cheeks.

Step 6: Apply a dark pink or red shade of lipstick to the lips to complete the look. I’m wearing Covergirl’s Colorlicious Lipstick in the shade “Bombshell Pink”.

Thank-you! Yep, I’m a drugstore junkie. I mean I love the higher end stuff too, but it’s a lot more inaccessible to people and I want to show people you don’t necessarily have to spend a fortune to create pretty makeup looks. 🙂

Love the pink lips!! I just can’t pull off a bright pink…I look better with darker lips, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing it!! Haha! You look beautiful! Also a little thing I do to make my eyes look more awake it to take a cream eyeliner in beige, or nude color and line your lower water line!! Works wonders!!
