February Confessions

I know you’re probably going to get tired of me saying this every month, but seriously where did the time go? The month of February was pretty much the busiest month I’ve had in a long time at work, so although I’m sad for time to zip right by, I’m not that sad that it’s over.

In the past week or so, several opportunities have been presented to me and I’m excited for what the month of March has to bring. Plus, March means we’re that much closer to spring and warmer weather, which makes me happy! πŸ™‚

These are my confessions:

Mom Confessions:

  • My oldest came running down the stairs the other day and when he landed on the ground he slipped in his socks and fell flat on his bottom. He immediately got back up, looked around, and acted like nothing had happened. I of course saw the whole thing but didn’t say anything, yet I couldn’t help laugh a little at him trying to play it off so cool.
  • Our youngest son constantly gets compliments on how cute he is when we’re out, and how much people love his glasses. The other day we were in the grocery store and an old lady came up and said “You are the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen and I wish I had glasses like those.” With the biggest smile on his face he looks up at her and replies, “I know I am the cutest.” I quickly said thank-you, but I had no words…

TV Confessions:

  • I seriously had a nightmare the other night after watching Killerpost on Oxygen. If you all haven’t watched it yet, it’s a really good show that centers on true stories surrounding social media incidents. Normally shows like these don’t affect me but I watched it right before bed and the episode was about a crazy Facebook stalker.
  • My husband and I watch 600 lb Life religiously every week, and typically are always snacking on something while we watch it. Contradiction, much? Haha- it’s always healthy food of course πŸ˜‰
  • I cried when I watched the first episode of Fuller House. It’s seriously soo good, and it was very nostalgic to watch considering I grew up on Full House.

Blogger Confessions:

  • Those captcha things on people’s blogs that ask you to tap on all the pictures of mountains etc. stress me out. I’m always afraid of what might happen when I accidentally overlook a picture and it thinks I’m a robot.
  • It annoys me when people don’t reply to comments on their blog. I mean, isn’t the whole intent behind having a blog to connect with other people and communicate with them? I understand if you get hundreds or thousands of comments a day, but if you only have like 5 and never answer back, it does kinda irk me.

Pet Peeve of the Week:

  • This is probably more like pet peeve for forever, but when I pass someone in the building or out in public and smile and say hi, and their response is nothing/the coldest look on their face possible. It won’t stop me from continuing to smile and say hi to people, because I think you should always be friendly to others no matter the response, but I just don’t understand how people can completely ignore others like that.

Have a Great Wednesday!- Cara

Linking up on Humpday ConfessionsWonderful Wednesday, Wednesday Blog HopLadies Collective Linkup,

  1. Oh my gosh! Yes to the captcha! I seriously get anxiety over it! I too cried in fuller house. I was so excited that it was back!

  2. I love the beautiful photo in the sidebar of you and your two gorgeous children. And I agree with the lady at the grocery store: Your tiny one with the precious, stylish glasses is the cutest little guy I ever did see! And as a blogger I really need to go in and reply to comments. I always have such good intentions of doing that but in my complete blogging overload from maintaining three sites that’s one piece that I often don’t get to at the end of a long day. But the good news is…now that Wednesday has passed we’re almost, kind of, sort of to the weekend! Have a great one! πŸ™‚

    1. Aw thank-you Denay! πŸ™‚ And wow, three sites? Nobody could ever blame you for not having time to respond to every comment. Props to you for managing so many things at once! πŸ™‚

  3. YES TIMES A THOUSAND ON THE PASSWORD FAILS!!! I definitely laughed at both of your mom confessionals… where do they get this stuff?! Lol love it!!

  4. I am so with you on saying hi to people. I always wave to everyone and say hi. My husband makes fun of me, haha, but people should always be friendly back. I totally cried during the opening credits of Fuller House too! I heard they are returning for a second season. Is that true?

    1. That’s what everyone’s been saying today, I hope it’s true it looks like a great series! Hey, at least we’re doing our part in being friendly! πŸ™‚

  5. I cried at Fuller House, too! Like big baby tears. It was really sweet. I like it much better than I thought I would! So what your youngest said is so super cute! I bet you had to hide your laughter! And the lipstick picture had me cracking up! Ruby Woo & Russian Red are two of my favorites!

    1. It’s a great show! & my little one is such a goober! I couldn’t help but laugh at it! πŸ™‚

    1. It is good! I was worried it wasn’t going to be that great, because that sometimes happens with sequels, but I’m impressed so far. & yes the password thing is so annoying!

  6. OMG YES to your pet peeve of the week!! I am a smiler, and I hate when people dont smile back or say hi! How RUDE!! see what I did there?? πŸ˜‰

  7. The pet peeve of the week? YES! I agree with you on the blogging confessions, too.
    Your boys sound SO cute!

  8. I don’t care if people miss a reply here or there, or if they’re late with replies. If they never, ever reply, it irks me.

Sometimes I am freaked out at night after I spend some time catching up on Criminal Minds or if I read a psycho book before bed!

    1. Yeah that’s how I feel about the replying too. & I don’t know why I reacted to that one, maybe I drank too much caffeine or something but it spooked me for some reason. I guess because you just never know with people anymore with faking accounts and things.

  9. YES to the returning comments on blogs thing! It is so annoying when I put in the time to write a meaningful reply and it seems like it was never read. I also agree with your biggest pet peeve. Seriously, people just need to be more friendly to one another.

    1. I completely agree Ashley! It’s like the world’s always in such a rush they never want to take the time to slow down and smile and interact with one another. We’ll just keep doing our part though πŸ™‚

  10. I can’t help but laugh after reading about your son playing it cool after he fell down. I know it probably hurt but hey sometimes you just gotta be like no one say that…keep moving. πŸ™‚ I have never seen KillerPost but I won’t lie sometimes I think well I have a blog…what if someone tries to stalk me,etc. I’m sure it crosses other bloggers minds too (at least I hope it does). Haha. I hate the captcha on blogs. I understand that they are there for a reason but I really don’t want to pick out pictures to comment on your blog. I have only watched the first 4 episodes of Fuller House and it is pretty cute so far. I heard it gets better though! They were renewed for a 2nd season! I also feel you on replying back to comments on blogs. I slacked a little last week but I always find time to reply to ever comment. I think it’s important to do as a blogger. And yes to the make up funny!!! I wear makeup to impress myself, that is all. And I would love to try to pull off the paper, scissors thing with a cop. Knowing me…I’d get arrested.

    1. Haha I’m sure my husband would find it less than funny if someone did that to him when he pulled them over, but it is clever for sure! πŸ™‚ That’s exciting about Fuller House, can’t wait to watch more!

  11. I LOVE that meme with about owning 50 MAC lipsticks, so accurate! I also love that you mentioned it bothers you when bloggers don’t respond to their comments because it also really bothers me. Once in awhile, I’ll accidentally miss one in the mix, but I always make sure to respond the second I notice it! Great post, Cara!

  12. I love the memes at the end of this post! So funny, especially the makeup one. It’s true though – it’s not JUST red.
Loved your post! So refreshing to read about real life things sometimes.

    1. Thank-you! Haha my husband couldn’t tell the difference between lipstick shades if I paid him πŸ˜‰ & I agree I love reading real life posts!

    1. Yes we totally can! Haha my husband made fun of me too. I’m such a sap when it comes to cheesy shows/movies. πŸ™‚

  13. I’m with you on the mom confession! except being a nanny whenever my little falls she gets up acts cool and I go SAFE!! hahaha then laugh later because it’s so cute!
xo, Jessica || The Petite Diaries

    1. Haha how funny! It wasn’t like he was hurt or anything, so I didn’t feel AS bad in laughing πŸ˜‰

  14. I always laugh when people fall and sometimes there is no time the lapses for me to even ask if they are OK first. What is wrong with me!! Your youngest! that is so dang funny and cute all at the same time.

    1. I tried not to laugh but it was so funny how he tried to act like nothing had happened. And yes, my youngest is a goober for sure πŸ™‚

  15. Ugh, I need to be better about replying to comments on my blog! I’ve been so behind! Thanks for reminding me to be better about that; I truly love connecting with those who comment on my blog, but I always seem to have something “more important” to work on!

    1. Being busy is completely understandable and I think if bloggers indicate that on their blog, readers definitely understand. But I’ve noticed there are many bloggers out there who think they can just throw a post out there and never reciprocate comments or interaction on other blogs, yet they expect to have thousands of followers. I wasn’t meaning it an offensive manner, and I hope it didn’t come across that way, just one of my rants-haha πŸ™‚

  16. I hate too when people dont respond back. Or when they have the ‘no reply’ on their emails when they post. UGH! What is the point?!?!!?

I so can’t wait to start watching Fuller House! I just saw it was picked up for another season πŸ™‚

    1. Yay! That’s so exciting! I really like that it’s family friendly and I can feel good in knowing if my kids want to watch it, it’s not a bad show. That seems to be rarity these days with television shows.

  17. My bf and I are currently binge watching fuller house and I agree it’s so nostalgic! I didn’t cry, but close to it. That killerpost show looks amazingly interesting… looks like my new obsession…uh oh… I am still catching up on shameless and downton abbey!

And it also irks me of bloggers who don’t respond…! Great post and I love the idea of monthly confessions, this would be a great link up idea!

    1. Killerpost is a good show for sure! I think I just drank too much caffeine the night it gave me nightmares though-haha Yes it would be a great monthly link-up! A couple of my blogger friends do a weekly confessions link-up over at Life by Nadine Lynn and More Coffee Less Talky if you’re interested in joining in the fun! πŸ™‚

  18. Hahahaha I love your confessions, they are amazing! I agree, captchas always make me nervous but I have honestly typed them wrong so many times, I just expect not to get them right anymore. I love the memes too πŸ˜€ I hope you are having a wonderful week so far gorgeous gal! XO -Kim

    1. Thanks Kim! Yeah I always get the word ones wrong for sure, but the picture ones are what make me cringe. It’s like trick questions with making you identify rivers and then showing pictures of 8 different types of water.- too confusing-haha Have a great week, girly!

  19. Good Post! Okay no more watching scary things. I don’t like my little girl waking up to nightmares. I Love you very much and especially those 2 little boys. Thanks for the post. I was asked the other day if I was going to watch Fuller House and really did not give a reason why. I honestly just sometimes don’t have time to watch TV now cause I have so many things too do. I just think about how I can spend more time with your Mommy and your 2 brothers and you and your family. Love you Dad

  20. I confess I cry during the first episode of fuller house too! And captchas drive me nuts, I actually stopped reading a blog because those darn things, I could never get it right even the first or the second time and I swear I typed it as it said, LOL! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday beautiful

  21. gah! i’m one of those bloggers who don’t reply back to comments (unless there’s a question for me) but instead, i visit their blog and leave them a comment. that’s ok, right? πŸ˜€

    1. Yes, that’s totally okay, girl! I guess I’m meaning more of the people who never do anything beyond just posting their own stuff. They have a blog but they never interact with anyone, it’s kind of strange really.

  22. Haha that pic about the lipsticks! My boyfriend would have no clue and would just tell me to take the lipstick off. I am so excited to watch Fuller House, I loved Full House as a kid. I watch kids wipe out all the time at work and sometimes I have to walk away so I don’t just die laughing.

    1. That sounds like my husband! He hates when I wear lipstick-haha. It is kind of hilarious to watch, when they don’t get hurt, of course!

  23. I was surprised at how much I liked Fuller House, I thought it would just be cheesy nostalgia and it was better than I expected. And YES to people who don’t respond to comments, I’m surprised at how many don’t take the time. LOL at your son knowing he’s the cutest! <3
    Green Fashionista

    1. I just don’t understand how they expect people to continue coming to their blog if they never take the time to respond to anyone. :/ My son definitely surprised me with that one-haha He’s a crackerjack.

  24. That’s a huge pet peeve of mine, too! Like, if I’m taking time to comment on your blog all the time, just say hi!! It’s not hard, people!!

I love that your youngest KNOWS he’s a cutie!!!! πŸ™‚ oh and Fuller House brings me back to the 90’s and I love it so much!!

    1. Exactly, I don’t expect people to always comment back but every once in awhile would be nice. Haha he’s something else, I made sure to have a good talk with him on saying thank-you instead of I know πŸ™‚

  25. Yes! Time has flown by. It is crazy we are almost in the spring time again. I think that is cute that you and your husband will watch 600 lb life and snack on healthy foods. Talk about motivation. Lol.

  26. Hahahaha I am going to play that if I get pulled over! So ummmm I totally teared up when Jesse started singing Forever. That is like my favorite song I freaking love it hahaha. Your kids are so cute knowing they are cute and trying to play things off. They learn so young, right???

If you click post comment without doing the captcha thing….it posts your comment anyways!!!! SO dont try to play their mind games πŸ™‚ And I quit following people who dont respond to comments. I dont have time for that rudeness.

    1. Haha I showed that to my husband (cop) and he didn’t find it funny! πŸ˜‰ And yeah they do learn young, in one way I was like wow, that was cute, and then in another way I’m like seriously little dude you’re supposed to say thank-you! haha I didn’t know that about the captcha things, they always give me anxiety!

  27. Your pet peeve is also mine. Especially people who I know or are suppose to be friends with. Act like they didn’t see me and if I confront them like I said hi, they are like oh I didn’t see you. NOT!

    1. Exactly! That is definitely worse than it being strangers, is when they are family members or friends and claim they don’t see you. It’s so silly, really!
