Taking Chances

I’ve never been a very big risk taker and I’m not one to just simply dive into something. No, by definition I’m pretty much the exact opposite of a risk taker, which explains why I have wanted to start a blog since, I don’t know, graduating high school 7 years ago. But as the years went by and everything about my life rapidly changed in front of my eyes, I began to ask myself the question of why not?

For as long as I can remember I’ve loved to write and as a child I frequently filled notebook pages with stories, ideas, and dreams to which I hoped to one day make a reality. Flash forward to now where I’m 25 years old, married with two kids, working full-time, and trying to balance my wonderful, crazy, hectic, wouldn’t-trade-for-anything life.

I’m Cara, the author behind Kindly Unspoken and just as the tagline says this blog is about beauty, balance, and believing in yourself. You see, when I’m not running around chasing toddlers, developing reports, or doing 87 other billion things, I love to do makeup. I’m a super girly-girl and I have somewhat of an obsession with lipstick and mascara. To me, makeup is an art and it is one of my favorite creative outlets.

While the primary focus of the blog will be beauty related topics, I will also share my personal experiences on balancing motherhood and working full time, and I hope to encourage others to always go after their dreams. After all, we’re all in this together, right?
