Life Update – We’re Moving

Life Update – We’re Moving!

Hi, friends! Hope you had a nice weekend!

Today I’m so excited to finally share our family’s big news that I’ve been dying to tell you for months – we’re moving to Kentucky!

My husband has officially accepted a Federal Lieutenant Police Officer position and I couldn’t be more proud of him in receiving this incredible promotion and what it means for our family. It’s been a long process of applying for jobs, interviewing, receiving rejections, and praying that the right door be opened, and we’re so thankful for this opportunity.

Although we’ve enjoyed the last 3 years in Georgia, our family has wanted to find something closer to our families back in Virginia for quite some time, and it’s always been our goal to live out in the country on our dream property.

We love nature and being outdoors and we’re very excited for this journey ahead with either building a home or buying a home on some land that we absolutely love.

We are also excited to be in a more centrally located area where you get the best of both worlds with living in the country and still having access to nearby cities, attractions, and all the amenities you could ever possibly want or need.

My husband actually started his new job today and moved up this past weekend, which is why I’ve been a little less active on social media and the blog lately. Not only was I helping him get packed up, but our family was trying to soak up the last few days with him before he left.

I’m definitely sad that he had to leave so quickly and that we won’t be able to be together for Christmas, but it’s exciting to know the next time we’re together, we’ll be moving to our new home.

As 2020 has already been a rollercoaster, we decided to take the least stressful route with this move and the boys and I will remain in Georgia until they finish out the school year in late Spring, and we’re able to buy/build a home and sell our home here in Georgia.

This will be our family’s 7th move in the past 10 years, and we definitely hope and pray it is our last. We’re fully ready to buy or build our forever home and I want to finally be in a permanent place that the boys can make those memories that last a lifetime.

We’ll definitely miss our family and friends that we’ve made here in Georgia and it makes me sad to leave a home that we did make so many great memories in, but I keep reminding myself that “Happiness doesn’t have just one address” and we’ll make so many wonderful memories at our new home in Kentucky.

And thankfully technology and social media definitely makes it easier to keep in touch with family and friends who live far away.

That’s all the news I have for now, but we’re SO happy and excited for this incredible journey ahead. I’ll be sharing updates as they happen on the blog and my social media channels, so stay tuned for that if you want to follow along.

As always thank you all for your love, support, and prayers, and cheers to moving forward!
