Happy Wednesday Ya’ll! So glad we’ve made it this far along in the week, and I’m so ready for the weekend! We’re having my son’s birthday party Saturday, and both my husband and I have Friday off and are planning something fun for both our boys. It will be nice to have a few days off from work and enjoy some family time with the kiddos! 🙂
On to this month’s confessions!
Food Confessions:
- Peanut Butter M&M’s are my weakness. I don’t buy them often because a. they’re $4 a bag which is way too much for a cheapskate like me, and b. I devour them within just a few days, which I know is totally not healthy. But let’s be real, you can’t eat just one…
- Hands down, I would choose drinking a Coca-Cola over any type of alcoholic beverage. I’m just not a big drinker and if I’m going to waste calories, might as well drink something I enjoy.
Shopping Confessions:
- I am so bad for going to a website, filling up my cart with a ton of items, then telling myself, “I’ll come back later and finish the purchase”, and then I never do. #indecisiveshopperproblems.
- I’m also the person who goes through the store, picks out items and then when I don’t find the one item I initially came into the store for, I put everything back on the shelf/rack. I’m sure people who work retail love me. (Sorry!)
Random Confessions:
- If I could pay someone to fold and put away my laundry, I totally would. I’ve got the washing and drying down pat (thank-you technology), but putting it away is the worst. Plus my husband has the mentality of “Why put it away, we’ll just wear it again.”
- I freak out every time I’m driving down the road and I see birds in the road. Not only do I initially get panic stricken when I think I’m going to hit them because they don’t move until the very last nano second, but then they of course fly in the direction of my windshield so they give me a nice little second scare of thinking they are going to peck through my windows. I hate birds, seriously. Please tell me others have this problem and they don’t just secretly all hate me…LOL
Pet Peeve of the Week:
I hope I don’t offend anyone on here who is part of direct sales, but the It Works people seriously drive me batty. Stop sending me messages on Facebook and adding me to groups every day asking me to buy your products or to become a rep. I literally probably get at least 10-20 follows on Insta daily from people who sell it. Stop following me, unfollowing me, then re-following me to see if I’m interested again. I promise, if I ever was/am interested I’ll let you know, but in the mean time, just stop. Seriously.
Humor/Funnies
A little grumpy cat always cheers me up! 😉 Can you relate to any of these? Let me know in the comments!
Have a great day!- Cara

Roshel says
Oh my goodness-100% relatable!! And I love the anti MLM memes on your post. MLM schemes or should I say scams are infuriating! It’s also upsetting that they target vulnerable people. I have had had many people pitch to me, so I was so annoyed I had to blog about it!
Kindly Unspoken says
Glad you can relate to these! Those really are the worst! Thankfully they must have caught on to the fact that people can’t stand their outreach methods, so I haven’t been receiving nearly as many messages anymore.
ellesees.net says
they had free m&ms in my room in mexico and i had to stop myself from eating them all!! they were free, dangit, lol.
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha, I can’t blame you there Elle! 🙂
Sara says
I totally relate to the lefty-loosey thing. In fact, I have to use my hands to make Ls to know which way is right or left. Seriously. It’s ridiculous. LOL
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha! I totally used the L thing to teach my children left from right. It’s amazing what we use to remember things 😉
Suzanne says
This made me laugh! The It Works people drive me crazy too. They’re so spammy! And peanut butter m&ms – YUM 🙂
Kindly Unspoken says
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, every time I see one pop up on my Insta I wish there was a run and hide button-haha
Bella B (xoxoBella) says
Fun post! 🙂 I am with you on the PB M&M’s! I can eat a bag in a blink.
Kindly Unspoken says
Thanks! Now I don’t feel as bad for devouring them 😉 haha
Jenn says
girl I am the same way when it comes to soda vs alcohol! I’m also not a big drinker and I’d much rather just drink my Dr. Pepper, call it a night and wake up feeling like a normal human being!
Kindly Unspoken says
Exactly! Dr. Pepper is a good one too! 🙂
Lindsey says
I’m in direct sales, but I rarely (I mean once every couple of months) post something on my personal Facebook. I would rather have someone ask what I’m wearing if they like it rather than be like push push push. It is so annoying. I have other friends who do that.
Kindly Unspoken says
I think that’s the best way to be when you work in sales. Share what you love, but to not focus so much on the sell itself. And then when people buy your stuff you know that they are genuinely interested, instead of feeling guilty or forced to buy something.
Stefanie (@LexieLooDylan2) says
I would go for the Coca-Cola, too!
The direct sales one? Yes yes YES!
Kindly Unspoken says
I mean who doesn’t love a cold Coke?! So nice on a hot day 🙂
Sarah @ Bows and Clothes says
I love that kindness quote! Peanut Butter M&M’s are my weakness too. 🙂 Grumpy Cat is hilarious!

PB M&M’s are my jam! I just have to keep them out of the house 😉 lol!
The Fashion Folks says
Hahah such a fun post, Pinterest is both a blessing and a curse all at once! Filled with inspo but also with anxiety that you won’t do or buy 95% of the content! Xx
http://www.thefashionfolks.com
Kindly Unspoken says
Exactly! I love Pinterest, but there’s no way anyone could have the time or energy to be able to do everything that’s on there. Lol it’d be impossible!
Mistle says
I so feel you on the PB M&M’s. Too good to pass up! oh and birds that wait till the last minute make me nervous as well. I am like are you going to move or am I going to kill you. Please make up your mind! I always put too many things in my online shopping cart and debate forever if I am going to actually buy everything. Which I typically don’t. I am in direct sales but I def don’t do all the crazy stuff with it. I’m like yeah….I’ll post here and there about it but I am not going to hound people. I hope you enjoy your weekend with your family! It sounds like you have some great things planned.
Kindly Unspoken says
Thanks Mistle! It’s been a wonderful weekend so far! Hope you’re having a great one too! 🙂
Tamara says
Hahaha! Such a funny post! Great one!
XoXo,
Tamara – LoveofMode.com
Kindly Unspoken says
Thanks! Glad you liked it! 🙂
Annie says
HAHA I love all of those e-cards! Literally laughing out loud. The one about the peanut M&Ms and laundry are so true!!
Kindly Unspoken says
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I struggle with the laundry one daily-haha 🙂
Andrea says
You know PB M&Ms are my weakness too!! Everytime we go on a road trip, they are my snack of choice along with any other time, lol. Just did it today, filled the Nordstrom cart then like “nah”, lol. Oh I’m so happy you’ll have some nice family time and a long weekend! Enjoy beautiful!!
Kindly Unspoken says
Thanks so much! Yeah, I find myself coming up with random reasons as to why I need to buy PB M&M’s lol I’ll say to my husband, “There’s this new recipe I want to try with these..” haha 😉
Kate @ Green Fashionista says
I am the same way with online shopping! If I wake up the next morning still thinking about it, I will usually go back and finally pull the trigger. Just did it the other day with some Michael Kors wedges, and I’m not sorry that they’re almost here! 😀
Green Fashionista
Kindly Unspoken says
Yeah, that’s how I am about it too. I try to avoid the impulse buys if I can, so I usually will let it sit for awhile and then if I continue going back to it, I finally will give in. lol! I bet those wedges will be cute!
Jennifer says
Omgosh, I am the same way with Coca-Cola…best drink out there! Also, I know I could never do sales because I would feel so weird/bad. I get the same requests from people too. And, I can’t even tell you how often I fill up my online shopping cart and then leave it. Good luck with the Birthday party. I can’t wait to hear how it all goes 😉
Kindly Unspoken says
Thanks! It’s so cool you used to work for them! 🙂
Emelia says
I was JUST telling someone I would wash laundry all day if I could find someone who enjoyed putting it away, hahaha. Also, I wish the direct sales people would realize that being pushy isn’t going to get them sales…that almost never works!
Kindly Unspoken says
I think the problem with those companies is not everyone is meant to be a salesperson (they’re just not). Not everyone has that mentality/personality and skillset. So when you have what seems like literally 1/3 of the population selling items competing with each other and bugging people to death, it’s not good. Lol Glad I’m not the only one who feels that way!
Noel Barnwell says
I can relate to almost every single one of these! I love a good Coke with certain meals – I try to drink them sparingly but certain foods necessitate it. Also, I’m guilty of online shopping and adding things to my cart and never buying them either. I think I like the idea of getting stuff, but not paying for it. It just feels too real when the subtotal comes up ($10 shirts add up!). As for Target, thank goodness the town I live in doesn’t have one…I’ve been known to get hypnotized and come out with a million and one things I truly don’t need. Great post! I look forward to reading more!
Kindly Unspoken says
Yes, Coke is so good paired with pizza! 🙂 I’m glad the nearest Target to me is almost an hour away too. Otherwise, I’d probably buy a ton of stuff I don’t really need- lol!
Kait says
The worst is the random MLM sellers who DM me on Twitter and Instagram. WHY?!?!?!
Kindly Unspoken says
I agree! It’s so annoying!
alicia says
Some of these had me cracking up! Thanks for sharing!
Kindly Unspoken says
Glad you enjoyed them! 🙂
Bri @ North Star Girl Lone Star World says
Haha I am cracking up! Probably 90% of this describes me to a T.
Kindly Unspoken says
Lol, so glad others share these- makes me feel less crazy! 🙂
emily @ a little bit of emily says
I have the same thing with It Works people on instagram! I don’t get it. And if I ever have trouble opening something, I definitely tell myself righty tighty lefty loosey.
Kindly Unspoken says
Lol, my mom taught me that when I was really young, and now every time I open something I can hear her voice saying it-haha 🙂
Leslie says
I’m with you on the Coke vs alcohol. Years ago, that was another story. But now, I’ll take an occasional drink, but I’d rather have a soda. And I do the same thing online shopping. I have full shopping carts on Amazon, Old Navy, and Nordstrom at all times, but I rarely actually order, haha. And birds in the road freak me out too! Once, a bird flew directly into my windshield while I was driving. Scared me to death. The beak actually left a nice scratch across the windshield too – crazy! And 100% with you on the It Works sales. Enough already!
Kindly Unspoken says
Oh my gosh I would have freaked out about that bird! They always come so close to hitting my windshield but haven’t hit it yet, thankfully. Yeah the It Works people are ridiculous..lol
Chrissa - Physical Kitchness says
Yeaaaaah PB M&M’s are ridiculously addicting. The pretzel ones too though – I could devour a whole bag!! I’d take laundry over bathrooms any day!
Kindly Unspoken says
I still haven’t tried the pretzel ones, which is probably a good thing because I haven’t found an M&M I haven’t liked thus far-lol. Yeah cleaning bathrooms is no fun either!
Kristina @ Ms.Modify says
OMG I completely agree with you and am so glad you said it… it drives me crazy when friends on FB or any social media try to sell me things and keep inviting me to their groups!
Kindly Unspoken says
I get everybody wants to make a side income, and that’s fine, but don’t ambush your friends constantly just to make a dollar. It’s spammy and distasteful. Just like I don’t try to shove my blogging stuff onto people. I share it on my social pages, but will only share something blog related on my personal one if I feel like my friends would enjoy it.
Gina says
Cara I’m dying! I think we are the same person. 100% yes to every single thing. I have 3 browsers of full shopping carts I can’t commit to RIGHT NOW! 🙂
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha, yes! So glad I have someone else that shares my quirks 😉
Lauren says
I hate when people add me to facebook groups! Drives me crazy!!!!
Kindly Unspoken says
I agree! If I want to be part of a group I’ll join it on my own, ya know? lol
Shann says
Too funny. I’m very indecisive on Amazon too. I leave stuff sitting in my cart forever. And the ITworks on Insta really bugs me. I get so excited that I have a new follower only to discover it’s a salesperson. Ugh. Have a fun weekend and a great birthday to your son.
Kindly Unspoken says
Thanks Shann! I’m the same way. I’ve gotten to the point that I now can recognize which ones are the IT Works people. (they have a specific FB page I think) and I just ignore it. Nobody likes spammers.
Candy says
Love this I hate to dust big time.
Kindly Unspoken says
Yeah dusting isn’t fun either. Oddly enough I don’t mind tasks like sweeping/vacuuming, but folding/putting away laundry and cleaning bathrooms is probably my least favorite of all household chores.
Nikki says
I’m totally indecisive too especially on Amazon! I hate when all these IT works people add me on Instagram and send me messages it makes me stabby!!!
Kindly Unspoken says
I know! It’s ridiculous! I don’t want to be rude to people, but when I’m not interested, please don’t bother me with messages.
kathy @ more coffee, less talky says
tell me this – we have managed to put humans on the moon and sent rovers to freaking mars so why haven’t we been able to build a machine that does laundry AND FOLD IT???????
Kindly Unspoken says
I know, right?! It makes no sense… It’s like they want people to be miserable 😉
Rebecca Jo says
I wonder if they get commission for posts or something at It Works because its always the same posts at the same time. So irritating sometimes.
I’m the same way – I’m not an alcohol kinda gal, but I’ll save my calories for something yummy instead.
That is soooo me with online shopping. I cant tell you how many carts I have open across the web 🙂
Kindly Unspoken says
Yes a Coke or a Jones Soda or something is definitely my choice over alcohol any day! Glad I’m not the only one with the shopping cart thing! 🙂
Rachel says
These are too funny! I hate birds flying when I’m driving too. They’ve actually bumped into my car TWICE on the highway. It freaks me out!
Kindly Unspoken says
So glad I’m not the only one! lol
Lily says
YES girl…I can totally relate to the food confessions! Except my drink choice is Dr. Pepper! And I can eat Peanut Butter M&M’s ALL DAY, every day! I feel bad for those with peanut allergies…they are so darn good and addicting!
OH and the It Works people drive me insane on Instagram too! Just STOP! I get you are trying to make money…but geez. I sell for Advocare but I’m NOTHING like some people!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a great party!
xo, Lily
Beauty With Lily
Kindly Unspoken says
Thank-you! I love Dr. Pepper too, although I don’t drink it as often. Yeah I think some people shouldn’t just work in direct sales. You can’t be spammy with it!
Cole says
OMG hahaha I can honestly say yaaasss to almost all of this! AND OMG people who sell It Works are insane. I signed up to support my friend who started selling It Works and now I’m constantly being harrassed on every social media account. It’s ridiculous. Almost biggest mistake of my life haha
Kindly Unspoken says
Lol, everyone I’ve talked to has went through that too. It’s like you’re nice that one time and then they literally drive you insane trying to get you to constantly buy more.
Pamela says
Yes to peanut butter M&M’s!! My weakness too! Well anything chocolate and peanut butter actually. And I do the same thing with my shopping cart… so bad. People who follow then unfollow and then follow back again drive me batty! I don’t know why they don’t get the message! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
Kindly Unspoken says
Glad we share a love for PB & Chocolate! It’s soo good! 🙂
Jessi Otey says
Wow – I’d say you have major self control when it comes to shopping! Look at it that way! Haha love the funnies!
Kindly Unspoken says
Well when you put it like that…wow I guess I do have self-control- lol! Thank-you!
Darcy says
I definitiely do the shopping cart thing too online. (And then stores taunt me with emails of what’s still in my cart haha)
http://www.amemoryofus.com
Kindly Unspoken says
Yes! What is up with that?! I’m like stop pressuring me! haha So indecisive 🙂
Marette @ Floradise says
I’m an indecisive shopper too! I currently have items in several carts that I will probably wait weeks to decide on. Haha
Kindly Unspoken says
Yep, me too! I’ll even save the links in my e-mail sometimes, to remind myself to go back and make a purchase, and then never do. It’s bad lol
Marette @ Floradise says
At least it saves money! haha
Kindly Unspoken says
That is true! 🙂 LOL
Kim says
I always love your confessions LOL! Emelia just mentioned something yesterday about the ItWorks people and I seriously feel the SAME WAY! Leave me alone, PLEASE! LOL! Also, that meme, I’m “it’s 8:30 and you want to start a movie this late?” years old is 100% me…just ask my husband LOL! Loved this, hope you are having a happy week…almost the weekend! Yay! XO -Kim
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha I’m the same way! If it’s past 9, it’s questionable whether or not I’ll stay awake for it-lol! & Yes for it almost being the weekend! 🙂
Katie says
I had someone from It Works invite me to an event and when I did respond, they RSVPed for me (who knew that was possible). I was so annoyed, I ended up unfriending the person.
Kindly Unspoken says
Oh geez! It’s like they are so desperate for people to buy their products it just comes off as distasteful and spammy.
Lindsay says
hahahhahahah did you write this post for me??? I have a Facebook friend who sent me some products before, which was so nice, but now she won’t stop bugging me about it. That some e-card also perfectly describes my relationship and problem with laundry! ugh!
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha, laundry is the worst! I don’t know how you politely tell people you aren’t interested when they don’t take subtle hints. It’s a toughie when it’s a friend, too!
Rachel G says
I would go for soda over any alcoholic drink any day, too! And I’m not convinced that a lot of the direct sales people have awesome selling strategies. I got added to a sales group by the friend of my cousin…and I live in a different country on the other side of the world from them….and no, there’s no product I’d like well enough to pay for international shipping for…
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha, can’t blame ya there! Yeah, I think the biggest problem is most of these people aren’t very business oriented and have no familiarity with salesmanship.
Nadine says
Hehehehe grumpy cat just gets me. The It Works stuff seems like the biggest sham and totally not safe or natural. I have a friend that does Rodan and Fields and sends me a pm several times a year to see if my skin care needs have changed and I am ready to try something new. I just ignore them now and it seems like she might have finally gotten the hint. I totally bought a bag of peanut M&Ms on Sunday and there is one handful left that I am sure to finish before I leave the house this morning. It’s bad!
Kindly Unspoken says
That’s my thing about it, I mean how healthy can those wraps really be? That definitely sounds like me- I bought some on Friday and finished them up last night. (hangs head in shame) lol!
Latonya says
My friend was just complaining about the It Works people yesterday, lol. Thanks for sharing your confessions. I used to be an indecisive shopper too. 🙂
Kindly Unspoken says
I have no problem with people who sell things, but if you ask me once and I say no, don’t ask me again a week later hoping I’ve changed my mind. That’s just annoying. lol
Jenn says
I can’t stand the retail followers and group adds either. It’s really frustrating. And I lol’ed at the amazon meme. That is so me, too! 🙂
Kindly Unspoken says
Yes, it’s so annoying! Haha, glad I’m not the only one 🙂
Kiran says
Great post, those memes made me laugh out loud! I panic when I see birds in the road too, I honestly thought it was just me . . .
ALittleKiran | Bloglovin | Instagram
Kindly Unspoken says
Haha oh my gosh, I’m so glad you said that, because I definitely thought it was just me that they hated! It’s like they’ve lost their fear of vehicles or something.
Kristin says
I asked someone about Rodan and Fields once and she tried to get me to buy her Jamberry in “exchange”. It’s not the same thing! And I don’t need business that badly.
And there’s so many things I don’t/can’t buy at the store because they’ll be gone in 48 hours.
Kindly Unspoken says
I think IT Works, Jamberry, Mary Kay, and Younique are probably the worst of them in terms of bugging people to death. I’ve never had any bad experiences with anyone who sells Rodan and Fields. They’re not spammy like the other ones. 🙂
Robin Pack says
I can so relate to the ItWorks problem! lol I recently had a friend whom I have not talked to in months randomly telling me how I had been on her mind and she thought I could benefit from this “new” product she is offering! WHAT?! Yeah, so over it!
Kindly Unspoken says
I understand that selling is all part of the process, but when people aren’t interested, don’t keep hounding them about it. Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way! 🙂
