Hello lovelies! Happy Humpday! 🙂 I’m super excited to be back today with an eye makeup palette review, and I’m especially excited to be talking about a new favorite brand of mine. Up until now, I had heard a lot about theBalm Cosmetics, but had never really tried it out, and I must say I’m super impressed!
One of my favorite websites HauteLook recently had a huge blowout sale on theBalm Cosmetics, where I snatched up two new eyeshadow palettes including The Nude Tude Palette and The Nude Dude Palette for around $18 each. This was an awesome deal considering these palettes normally are around $40 a piece. I’ll also be reviewing the Nude Dude Palette in the coming weeks, but for today’s post I’m focusing on the Nude Tude one.
The first thing I noticed about this palette is the cute packaging and the adorable names of all of the shades. The Nude Tude Palette in particular comes in two packaging versions: Naughty and Nice, with the only difference being that the nice version shows a Paris inspired bedroom vs. the naughty version which is women with the shadows covering them up. (Thus the name Nude-Tude) 😉
All of the shades are beautiful colors and have great pigmentation. Even without using a primer these shadows still pack a punch in terms of pigment, which is really nice. The palette itself features a great mix of shimmer, matte, and satin finishes and contains a nice range of neutral shades perfect for everyday wear.
Sassy- Frosty White Shimmer
Snobby- Champagne Gold Shimmer
Standoffish- Peach Shimmer
Selfish- Taupe Satin
Sultry- Tanned Brown Matte
Sophisticated- Olive Colored Brown with Specks of Gold
Seductive- Bronze Satin
Sexy- Burgundy Matte
Silly- Dark Brown with Specks of Red and Gold Glitter
Serious- Black Matte
Sleek- Chocolate Brown Matte
The only downfall to this palette in my opinion is the eyeshadow brush, which isn’t that great of quality. I personally prefer using my e.l.f. eyeshadow brushes or my real technique ones, which will give you a much better application. This brush by e.l.f. is my personal fave for blending.
Standoffish, Seductive, and Sexy are my absolute favorites in this Nude Tude palette– although there’s not really any shades that disappoint. 🙂
P.S. If you’ve never signed up for HauteLook, it’s an awesome site featuring new shopping deal events each day all up to 75% off retail prices. Membership is completely free, but you must be a member to have access to all of the deals. Sign up over here! This adorable “Be-you-tiful” pouch definitely catches my eye!
