The Best Dry Shampoo For Busy Women
Hey lovelies! Do you struggle to keep your hair looking great throughout the week? You’re not alone! In fact, 71% of women struggle to maintain great hair days in between washes.
Thankfully, I’ve finally discovered THE best dry shampoo foam and dry conditioner mist for achieving a week of fabulous hair days and I’m pretty sure every woman needs these products in her life.
Today I’m beyond excited to be partnering up with Pantene to talk dry shampoo 101 and share their new Waterless Collection with you, which includes the Dry Shampoo Foam and the Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist. Pantene has been one of my absolute favorite shampoo brands since I was a little girl, and this new collection is a total game-changer for busy women and moms.
Dry Shampoo 101
If having a great hair day is something you struggle with, dry shampoo is a great solution for extending the life of your hair in between washes. Below, I’ve shared some basics to know about dry shampoo, including what it is, how it works, and reasons why you should use dry shampoo as part of your haircare routine.
What Is Dry Shampoo?
Dry shampoo is a powder, spray, or foam that essentially washes the hair without using water.
How Does Dry Shampoo Work?
Dry shampoo works to absorb excess oils from root to tip and helps extend the life of your hair between regular washes. It can also add volume and texture to the hair and be used for refreshing your hairstyle.
Why Should You Use Dry Shampoo?
- To Wash Hair Less Frequently
- Eliminate Greasy Appearance
- To Maintain Vibrancy in Color-Treated Hair
- Add Volume/Texture
- Refresh Curls/Style
The Best Dry Shampoo Foam For Busy Women
If I’m being completely honest, I’ve always had a total love/dislike relationship with dry shampoo. I absolutely love the concept of dry shampoo and the idea of washing my hair less, but I’ve unfortunately been let down by so many dry shampoo products that I’ve tried in the past.
I didn’t like that most dry shampoos gave my hair a crunchy, rough-looking texture or even worse – that some dry shampoos would leave a white residue and make my hair look super dull. So when Pantene challenged me to try out their new Waterless Collection to extend my non-wash hair days, I was 110% up for the challenge.
Pantene Waterless Collection
Pantene Day Dry Shampoo Foam is a sulfate-free, non-drying, waterless foam shampoo that softens and cleanses the hair by dissolving excess oil and refreshing your hairstyle. It works best for dry hair, curly hair, and curl-styled hair.
Contains:
- Pro-vitamin B5 & orchid flower water for nourishment and detangling
- Tapioca from the cassava root to absorb excess oil from roots & scalp
- Free of drying alcohols, sulfates, and parabens
How to Use:
- Shake can well and dispense a small amount into your fingertips
- Apply a small amount to your dry hair at the roots, one section at a time
- Brush out and style your hair as normal
*Hair will feel damp at first, but that’s just the dry shampoo foam working its magic. It dries super fast!
Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist is a cross between a leave-in conditioner and a styling spray made for nourishing hair that needs a little TLC. This spray also provides 24-hour frizz protection – great for those who live in humid climates. This dry conditioner mist works best for long hair that tangles easily, color-treated hair, heat-styled hair, and frizz-prone hair.
Contains:
- Light-as-air hydrators to evenly condition strands
- Omega-9 (aka the staple “good fat” of the Mediterranean diet) to restore hair
- Free of parabens and sulfates
How to Use:
- Hold can 6-8 inches away from hair and spray from the mid-length of the hair to the tips.
- DON’T spray at the roots.
My Pantene Non-Wash Challenge Results
As a busy mom I typically wash my hair every 3 days, but using the Pantene Day Dry Shampoo Foam and Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist, I’ve been able to extend my non-wash days all the way up to 5 days! That’s one whole week of not having to wash my hair, which is pretty much amazing.
As I have super thick, color-treated hair, I really try to limit how much I wash it as it takes forever to dry and I want my color to stay looking its best. This collection is honestly better than any other dry shampoo or dry conditioners I’ve ever tried and it has definitely transformed my non-wash hair days. Even better, it’s super affordable!
The dry shampoo foam is awesome for removing excess oil and I was so amazed at how soft it made my hair feel, as a lot of dry shampoos can be drying. I’m also slightly obsessed with the dry conditioner mist as I tend to curl my hair a lot and I love to freshen up the ends. It also smells amazing!

Hey, I liked your short wavy hairstyle. Does it work on straight hair too? https://www.indiquehair.com/collections/wavy-hair
Yes, it does. Thank you!
Both of these products sound really awesome! I have only used Dry Bar and Moroccanoil dry shampoo’s and love both of them. I will admit though I hated the Dry Bar foam. It made my hair look even more greasy. I def will have to try out these products soon!
I’ve been loving them! Honestly, I love these two products more than a lot of the high end ones I’ve tried. Let me know if you end up trying them- I’d love to hear your thoughts! 🙂
I’ve been so curious about dry shampoo foams, so I’ll definitely check this one out since it’s so affordable. I know I’ve already told you this, but your hair in these pictures is GOALS. It looks so, so good!
Just sayin’,

Aw thanks girl! I always love your hair too! I definitely recommend these – I love that they’re so affordable, but also that they’re alcohol and sulfate free. Dry Shampoo can be so drying on the hair, so I love that these actually have good ingredients! 🙂
Theirs sounds so good, I haven’t tried any from their line, but definitely need to. Since I curl my hair and also have naturally curly hair, this sounds like it would be a good fit for me.
Thanks so much for sharing!
I’m loving them and think you’d love them too! I especially love the dry conditioner mist for refreshing curls and adding a little more texture/volume.
