Things I’m Loving Lately

things i'm loving lately

Happy Wednesday! How’s your week going? Work is still pretty crazy for me and I’m keeping busy non-stop with a never ending to-do list. I seriously long for some moments of down time because they are rare, but hey I guess that’s life, right? 😉

On the bright side of things, there’s only about a month left until we leave for vacation to the Outer Banks, and I couldn’t be more excited! We love going to the Outer Banks (Avon in particular) because it’s an amazingly beautiful beach that’s a little more quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. My boys have been asking me everyday when we are going, so to say they are excited would be an understatement.

Now, onto some things I’m loving lately!

Spring Floral Fashion

Seriously, give me all the florals! The print on those pair of shorts is my fave!

  1. I was never much of a floral person, but it’s definitely grown on me. I have one floral shirt and I seriously want to wear it all the time! Those desserts are all so cute and look so delicious!

    1. Florals are so pretty for spring. Also, I really want to make the lady bugs, asap-haha. I still unfortunately am unable to view your blog, so just wanted to let you know. I would absolutely be commenting/viewing your posts if I could! 🙂

  2. Great post Cara. Loved reading your roundup of favorites. I did a similar post this week. I am loving floral bottoms for Spring too and need/want a floral mini and a new pair of floral shorts.

  3. I’m loving all the florals so much this season, & I’m totally with you on the busy thing…oh man, counting down to our mini vacation to NC in two weeks! Love all those cute desserts!

    1. Cookie cups are super easy to make! You take some cookie dough whether it’s homemade or store bought and shape it into a muffin tin. Then you bake it and you can fill it with all sorts of things, such as ice cream, caramel, pudding, the possibilities are endless! You should try it 😉

  4. I can’ t get enough florals during this time of year either- love all your picks! Those ladybug pretzels are too fun, love ’em! 🙂

    1. The little cookie cups shouldn’t be hard at all! Just put some cookie dough in a muffin tin, bake, fill it up with dirt (aka crushed oreo) and pop in some little flower sticks. They’d be so cute for a party! 🙂

  6. Loving this list! I love that you’re boys are so excited for your family vacation, what a fun memory they’ll have going into adulthood! Hopefully the days fly by for you (I’m sure they will, the year is almost half gone arleady!!!) XO -Kim

    1. Thank-you! I can’t wait. The last time I went I was finishing up my Master’s and had to do homework the entire time and didn’t get to enjoy it much. This time, I will be enjoying every second! 🙂 Have a great day Kim!

  7. I definitely feel you about needing some relaxation time! I’m a teacher and you can tell right now that the students and the teachers are excited for summer. Although that usually gets pretty busy as well. Always good to have a trip or something to look forward to!

  8. I don’t have many spring floral prints, but I do have a pair of white jeans that I’ve just been loving being able to wear again with other pastel, springtime colors!

    1. Me too! What is it about mini foods being a. so adorable and b. it makes you feel better about eating it because somehow you feel like the calories don’t count-haha

  9. Those desserts make me want to buy a cute apron and get to baking. Such a fun, lovely post to read. Thanks for sharing, I love Spring fashion as well. Everything feels and looks much brighter, plus it is an excuse to buy new clothes for me haha x
