Hangin’ in Hawaii – BH Cosmetics Palette Review
Hey everyone! Today I’m excited to be sharing a review of The BH Cosmetics Hangin’ in Hawaii Palette. I’ve been using this palette for several months now and it’s quickly grown to be one of my favorites. In fact I might go so far as to say it’s probably my favorite drugstore eyeshadow palette to date!
I’m a huge fan of warm browns, oranges, and corals, and the shimmers in this palette are STUNNING. Keep reading for my full review and swatches below!
BH Cosmetics Hangin’ in Hawaii Palette
The BH Cosmetics Hangin in Hawaii Palette features 16 gorgeous shades, including 11 mattes and 5 satin shimmers. Just looking at the colors alone, I love the range of shades this eyeshadow palette offers and the fact that you an create full looks using just this palette.
I also really love the gold and pink packaging and the fact that it comes with a mirror, which is always nice for traveling. At $16 it’s also very affordably priced and the quality makes it a great bang for your buck!
Moving on to the actual formula, I was literally blown out of the water with the pigmentation and the buttery-soft formula. The matte shades are very smooth with easy blendability, while the satin shimmers are absolutely stunning and glide on beautifully. I do want to note that because the formula is so soft, you will have a little bit of dust-up on your palette when working with these shadows. Not a big deal to me personally, because I’d rather have eyeshadow that blends well, but just wanted to point it out, in case you’re OCD about your palette staying pristine.
Below you’ll find swatches of all the beautiful shades. As you can see the pigmentation in the matte shades is amazing and the shimmers have such a stunning reflection.
I also created a swatch chart below with all the shade names. I don’t know about you, but I seriously can’t get over all the fun hawaiian names, and it’s totally reminding me of Lilo and Stitch (which my kids were obsessed with watching for the longest time lol).

Overall, the BH Cosmetics Palettes are some of THE best at the drugstore in my opinion (including this Hangin’ in Hawaii Palette) so if you haven’t yet, I highly highly recommend checking them out! You can see all their products here.
What shades do you love most in this palette? Let me know in the comments!

This palette looks super pretty. I have only tried a couple BH Cosmetics palettes and it was a long time ago. These colors are definitely ones I would gravitate towards. Lei, Tiki, and Waikiki are my favorites.
It’s seriously SO good! I recommend checking them out at Ulta one day if you have time. They have a lot of really great palettes and the quality is just as good as some higher end palettes I have.
This is the prettiest palette, and a lot of the shades are versatile for the upcoming fall season, too! I’ve never tried anything from BH Cosmetics, but I’m pretty sure that needs to change now!
Yes! I highly highly recommend! They have some gorgeous all matte palettes too. If you get a chance, check them out at Ulta next time you’re there. I absolutely love their eye products. 🙂
These shades are soooo right up my alley! Gorgeous!

I’ve been using it non-stop lately. Love the versatility with all the mattes and shimmers! 🙂
