Catching Up- A Life Update

Catching Up- A Life Update

Happy Wednesday everyone! I wanted to pop in today with a quick post update because life has been seriously nothing short of crazy here lately and I know you’ve probably been wondering why I’ve not been as “present” on the blog this summer.

While I unfortunately can’t go into all the details of anything just yet, I will say that my family’s life is getting ready to go through a big, exciting change in the coming months. While nothing ominous or bad, this change has definitely drawn my attention away from the blog for a little bit.

While I would love absolutely nothing more than being able to devote my full attention to my blog in creating new content and collaborations, right now my family needs me more. As you know, I work full-time and being able to balance everything right now has become increasingly difficult. For now, you might only see me once a week, and in the coming weeks there may be a few weeks where I won’t be able to post at all.

And while I’m not a fan of steering away from my normal posting routine, it’s something that is simply beyond my control at the moment and family, health, and sanity always comes first in my book.

The truth is, I honestly love blogging. When I started up this blog I never imagined in my wildest dream that it would turn into something that I would want to do full-time, but here I am a year and a half later, and I truly love getting to create posts, work with brands, and having the opportunity to connect with all of my amazing readers.

I know I can always count on you for being so incredibly understanding, and I hope that you’ll bear with me and keep coming back until I’m able to get back in the full swing of things.

While I’m pretty much a whirlwind of emotions right now, I stumbled upon this quote yesterday that I think speaks volumes. “There comes a day when turning the page is the best decision for you because you realize there’s so much more to the book than the page you were stuck on.”

Change is scary. It pushes us to our limits and forces us to go beyond our comfort zones. But in the end, life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better by change. And you’ll never know what’s on the other side of that fence, unless you cross it.

Hope you each have a wonderful week ahead. Thanks for stopping by!- Cara

Can’t wait to hear about the new and exciting thing coming up in your life (if you were to share in the future). I completely understand how it is to have to take a step back from blogging because life gets a little crazy. I too work full time and some weeks I am great at blogging and others I completely fail at it. Hoping everything goes well for you ma’am!

Totally get your perspective and I often feel the same way. The last thing I want is for my blog to feel like a burden so I just forgive myself and move on when I can’t get to all the things I want to. Excited to hear about your big changes!

Exactly. And sometimes it just seems silly to kill ourselves over a post when there’s a lot more important “life” things out there. Thanks for your support and encouragement! 🙂

It is really hard to work full-time and blog. Blogging is a job in itself. I have thought about giving up blogging so many times but I so enjoy it. Nothing wrong with taking some time away especially when life gets a bit crazy. Sending lots of love your way. Best of luck. Change can be really good.

Love you and your blog much your girl! I definitely know how hard it is to juggle it all and I’ve thought about quitting blogging many times but it’s for relationships and the joy of it that keeps me going. Nothing wrong though with going a while without posting, real life is way more important and we will always be here for you!
