Essence Blush Lighter Swatches + Review
Happy Thursday, loves! Today I’m sharing the new Essence Blush Lighter Swatches and a full review. These beautiful blushes were recently sent over to me in an awesome PR package from Essence, and I immediately fell in love with all the pretty shades.
I’m a huge blush and highlighter lover and I love that the Essence Blush Lighters combine the best of both worlds. Today I’m sharing a look at all 4 shades and my honest thoughts on these blush lighters.
Essence Blush Lighters Review
Essence has been one of my favorite affordable drugstore makeup brands for several years now and I love that most of their products are $10 or less, with these blush lighters only costing $4.99 each!
The Essence Blush Lighters currently come in 4 beautiful shades including:
- Peachy Dawn
- Coral Sunset
- Nude Twilight
- Cassis Sunburst
The formula is a gradient powder blush with a touch of shimmer to them. Upon first glance, they reminded me of the Milani Baked Blushes (AKA my favorite blushes EVER), but I will say they are not quite as pigmented but super pretty.
Once applied to the skin, the Essence Blush Lighters have a much more softer, natural looking appearance to them, and can easily be built up to the desired color level.
I personally really like that they’re not super bright and over the top, because you don’t always want that in a blush (especially if you are going for a more subtle, natural makeup look).
My favorite thing about these blush lighters is that that they do have a shimmer to them, because it saves you the extra step of having to apply highlighter.
They have a really pretty glow to them that helps give you that natural rosy glow on the cheeks, and all 4 shades are very pretty.
I’m very much a fan of peachy/pink tones, so if you tend to gravitate to those shades I think you’ll really like these. I do feel like these are more geared towards light to medium skin tones, and I can’t necessarily speak to what they would look like on more tan/dark skin tones.

Essence Blush Lighter Swatches
Below, I’ve provided all four of the essence blush lighter swatches, and I must say I was impressed with every single shade.
- Peachy Dawn is the lightest shade and most natural tone of all four. It has a beautiful highlighting shimmer to it.
- Coral Sunset is a beautiful coral/peach tone and one of my personal favorites
- Nude Twilight is a great neutral/peach shade for adding a little bit of color to the cheeks.
- Cassis Sunburst is another personal favorite and a beautiful pink shimmery shade.
All in all, I would definitely recommend these blush lighters if you’re looking for a beautiful and budget-friendly blush with a nice shimmer to it.
I think they’d especially be pretty for spring and summer, but because they are more neutral/peach tones you could totally wear them year round!

I’m right there with you, I love peach/coral hues on the cheeks. These look really nice, even for my pale skin. Essence is such a great brand!
