1. wet n wild
First up and my personal favorite of all the cheap makeup brands is wet n wild!
I’ve been using their makeup products pretty much since I first started wearing makeup and I’m continuously impressed with the amazing quality.
I recently shared a full review of their amazing Megalast Lipstick Collection, which is probably one of the best lipstick collections at the drugstore.
Other standout cheap makeup products from wet n wild includes their megaglo highlighters (love the shade “precious petals”!), photofocus foundation(obsessed with the dewy finish), photofocus concealer, contouring palette (oldie but goodie!), and liquid catsuit lipstick.
They’re also constantly releasing fun, affordable eyeshadow palettes like this Pacman one which is THE cutest.
2. BH Cosmetics
Another cheap makeup brand favorite of mine is BH Cosmetics!
Not only does this brand have incredible quality makeup products but the price point is SO good!
This is THE brand you need to check out if you’re looking for the best eyeshadow palettes and face palettes at the drugstore.
The Hangin’ in Hawaii Eyeshadow Palette (review here) is my absolute favorite eyeshadow palette and it’s only $16!
Some of my other cheap makeup favorites from BH Cosmetics include their Blushing in Bali face palette, Cashmere Cream lipsticks, and their makeup brush sets.
3. Essence
One of the most seriously underrated cheap makeup brands on this list (and quickly growing to be one of my favorites) is Essence!
I tried out some of their makeup products a couple years back because they were so inexpensive and I’m SO glad I did.
Their Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara and Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara are truly THE BEST drugstore mascaras, and I won’t even mention the fact that they cost less than $5!
You can check out a side by side comparison of the 5 Best Essence Mascaras over here.
Other products worth trying out is their Silky Blush (Under $3) and Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette (Under $10).
4. e.l.f. Cosmetics
e.l.f. Cosmetics is another standout in the category of cheap makeup brands and I’ve loved them for YEARS.
Not only do they consistently release great products but the affordable price point in the $1-$15 range makes me love them even more.
In fact, I love this brand SO much that I recently put together a roundup with the 15 Best e.l.f. Makeup and Skincare Products.
If I had to pick my 3 favorites from e.l.f. it would definitely be their Hydrating Camo Concealer, their Bite-Size Eyeshadows, and the e.l.f. Ultimate Blending Brush.
5. Makeup Revolution/I Heart Revolution
If you haven’t yet tried out Makeup Revolution or I Heart Revolution, it’s definitely time!
They’re another drugstore makeup favorite of mine and one of the best cheap makeup brands. I’ve actually never tried a product from them that I didn’t love.
They’re well known for creating great makeup dupes for high end products, like their Conceal/Define Concealer which is a great dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape (full review/comparison here).
More products from them I would recommend include their Loose Baking Powder, Soph X Revolution Highlighter (which is actually in my 10 Best Drugstore Highlighters), and these adorable Donut Eyeshadow Palettes that I featured in my Spring Makeup Products to Try.
6. L.A. Girl
Last but certainly not least on this list of cheap makeup brands is L.A. Girl!
I’m seriously always so confused why no one talks about them because I have so many great makeup products from this brand and they’re so affordable.
One of my top picks is their Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation, which has beautiful coverage and is great for dry skin!
I also love their HD Pro Concealer/Corrector for dark circles, Just Blushing Powder in “Just Peachy”, and Lip Attraction Lipstick.

It always cracks me up to look back at how much I used to spend on makeup – it’s totally not necessary anymore! I still need to try some products from B.H. Cosmetics! Aren’t Essence mascaras the best? I wish they were more accessible than just at Ulta (unless they’re somewhere else I don’t know about). Also love L.A. Girl blushes!

Yes, always it blows my mind the amount of crazy money some people spend on products that aren’t that great but they do it just because it’s “high end”. Definitely recommend trying out some of the eyeshadow palettes from BH Cosmetics, they’re SOO good! And I’ve actually been able to find Essence in CVS and Walgreens in my area, so maybe check those out if you have one near you! Have a great weekend girly!
Girl, you know I love cheap makeup brands! Your list is spot-on. I’m like a wet n wild aficionado and more people need to realize how great their products are and how they rival high-end options. Good post!
