While I’m enjoying these last few weeks of summer, I can’t help but get a little excited over the crisp fall air that’s been occuring the last couple days. There’s so much to love about fall including the gorgeous leaves and weather, pumpkins and harvest decor, sweet smelling candles, and all the cute scarves and boots.
For a beauty lover, though, fall is one of the best seasons because all the makeup brands release special fall edition products, which are always super gorgeous! So today I’m talking about some of my favorite fall 2016 beauty trends and sharing some products below that you can re-create the looks with. Happy Early Fall Ya’ll! ๐
Dark, Bold Lips
If you’ve always wanted to wear those vampy, gothic-inspired lip colors, now’s your chance. Although deep berry shades and reds will definitely be popular, non-traditional shades such as gray, chocolate, and chestnut are soon to be found on makeup shelves everywhere. I’m kinda obsessed with this “Punked” shade by Smashbox! Who knew gray could be such a pretty lip color!?
Brown Smoky Eye
Although the regular black smoky eye is always trending, this season’s newest go-to look is the brown smoky eye. Using various shades of brown blended with copper tones will create a warm eye look that beautifully complements any eye color. This Lorac palette is my go to item for creating beautiful smoky eyes.
Glitter Eyes (for Grown-ups)
I’m actually really excited about the comeback of glitter in the makeup world. It’s a fun way to add sparkle to your look and the possibilities are endless. Glitter can be added under the brow for enhanced highlighting, added to the inner corner, or applied as a sparkly wing (my personal fave).
Artsy Winged Eyeliner
I personally love this trend the most, as I’ve been known to rock a double-winged liner on the regular. If you struggle creating a perfect winged liner, then this trend is perfect for you! This trend is all about creating out-of-the-box, artistic, eyeliner looks. The best part? There are really no rules and you can be as creative as you want with this! As mentioned in my June monthly faves, I recommend the Cover Girl Intensify Me Liquid Eyeliner for creating all kinds of eyeliner looks!
Twiggy Inspired Lashes
If you’re like me and you adore Twiggy and 60’s inspired fashion, then you’re sure to jump on board with this trend. Bold, doll-like lashes are all the rave this season and help bring out everyone’s best feature- the eyes. For creating dramatic looking lashes, I personally love the Cover Girl Super Size Me Mascara. Cobalt Blue
Vivid shades of blue are very on trend right now, and are a fun way to add color to your look. Whether applied as a liner or worn as part of a bold smoky eye, you’ll definitely be seeing lots of blue this fall season.
Silver Eyeshadow
Metallics, especially silver are really in right now and are a subtle way to add shimmer to the eye. Whether applied allover the lid or on the lower lash, a hint of silver will definitely make your eyes pop.
Low Ponytail
Less is more in the world of hairstyles this season with easy, low maintenance ponytails. Softly pull back the hair and tie it low with a clear hair band. Add in a simple barrette like this pretty one, or tie in a soft ribbon for a nice touch.
80’s Tight Curls
If you have naturally curly hair, you’re probably rejoicing for this fall season, as we’ll see the tight curl trend of the 80’s return. Loose waves and soft curls will still be popular, but more refined curls will be the choice for fall. If you’re going for a more refined look choose a smaller curling iron, like this 1/2 inch Chi wand, which works wonders.
Antique Hair Accessories
Embellished jewel and floral headpieces, clips, and even crowns will soon make its way onto the hair of many. You’ve probably already noticed a lot of girls wearing pretty floral crowns over the summer, but the fall trend will be a bit more antique inspired, with bronze jewels and fairy-esc details. I simply adore this gorgeous hair crown!

I love the whole vampy dark lip look for fall. I just purchased several new dark lip sticks for the fall. I am ready!! Also I love doing a pretty brown smokey eye. The cobalt blue eye liner is so pretty!!! I def can’t wait for these fall make up trends.

I don’t typically wearing lip colors other than nude, but I recently received a dark NYX lip color with my Ulta purchase and I’m looking forward to the cooler months to try it!

Bring on the brown smokey eye and the low pony! I saw a video of Victoria Becks putting on a brown smokey eye to go out the other day (in less than 3 minutes from plain face to fully made up) and just went “oh… ok.. well that’s my new look”
