March Beauty Favorites

March Favorites Kindly Unspoken

Happy 1st Day of April Everyone! Hope you have an awesome weekend planned ahead! I took yesterday and today off to spend some extra time with my kindergartner while he’s on spring break, and to do a little spring cleaning. There’s something so amazing about de-cluttering and organizing the home, I don’t know what it is…

Onto my 5 Beauty Favorites for this month!

NYX HD Blush (1)

NYX Powder Blush in Flamingo, $2.50 NYX

I’ve been using this product for awhile, but considering it is one of my most frequently used blush colors I figured it was worth mentioning. Not only is the pigmentation in this product, awesome, but it’s so silky on the skin and has great blendability to make the color as bold or as subtle as you want.

NYX offers powder blushes in numerous colors so if Pink Flamingo isn’t your thing, definitely check out some of their other shades on the website.

NYX HD Blush (2)

LA Colors Lip Gloss (1)

L.A. Colors High Shine Shea Butter Lipgloss in Mingle, $4.99 L.A. Colors

I picked this up on a whim when I noticed it on an end cap in K-mart one day, but ya’ll this color is stunning! It almost has an iridescent look to it, and makes the lips appear really full and colorful.

If you all have been following me for awhile, you’ll remember I reviewed the L.A. Colors Lip glosses back around Christmas time in this post. I definitely think L.A. Colors is a company to watch out for, as they keep releasing more and more awesome products, and so far I’ve been super impressed with their lip products.

LA Colors Lip Gloss (2)

Vaseline Lips (1)

Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter, $3.99 Target

I picked this up because so many beauty bloggers had been singing this product’s praises, and I must say I was not disappointed. It definitely helps moisturize the lips and it smells ah-mazing! I think they also sell this item in a couple other flavors so if you’re not into cocoa butter they do have other options.

I also love that this product now comes in a tin so you can easily pop it in your purse and keep it with you while on-the-go. If you’re frustrated with chapsticks, I would recommend giving this product a try!

Vaseline Lips (2)

Rimmel Good to Glow (1)

Rimmel London Good to Glow Highlighter in 001 Notting Hill Glow, $4.00 Wal-mart

This is such a pretty liquid highlighter and gives your skin a nice looking glow. You’ll notice in the swatch below it has a really pretty shimmer to it, and although I applied it liberally to capture the product a little better on camera, it’s actually pretty subtle once it is blended.

The way I use this product is by applying a tiny dot on the back of my hand and using a small stippling brush I apply it on the top of my cheekbones, nose, and brow bone. I can definitely see myself using this product more and more in the summer months to come.

Rimmel Good to Glow (2)

Equate Whitening Strips

Equate Beauty Xtreme Whitening Wraps 7 Day System, $14.97 Wal-mart

I’ve been using this product for a couple of years now and I thought it was worthy of mentioning in my favorite products. I used to use Crest Whitening Strips but let’s be honest they’re pretty pricey, so one day when I was in Wal-mart I stumbled across these and the price was significantly less than Crest. I thought to myself, “why not?”, and after using them I was so impressed!

They definitely whiten your teeth and they’ve never made my teeth feel sensitive like some of the Crest Strips did. I use these products about every 6 months for the full 7 days to whiten my teeth and they do a great job of keeping my teeth bright and white. Highly recommend!
