New Drugstore Makeup Haul – Favorites
wet n wild Barefocus Tinted Hydrator (Shade: Fair)
This tinted hydrator is my new favorite everyday foundation with a buildable sheer to medium coverage.
It does a great job of evening out the skin tone while giving the skin a healthy, natural looking finish.
It’s pretty much all I’ve been wearing lately on the skin and I love it!
wet n wild Megalast Incognito Under Eye Concealer (Shade: Light Beige)
I’ve always been impressed with wet n wild concealers and this one is their absolute best!
It has full coverage for covering up dark circles and a soft matte finish which looks so pretty on the skin.
The shade range isn’t yet huge (I’m hoping they’ll expand it) but I found the light beige matched my skin tone perfect.
Flower Shadow Quad Eyeshadow Palette (Shade: Petal Play)
This shadow quad palette is a total stunner with 4 shimmer shades that look absolutely beautiful on the eyelid.
It also comes in other shade combos but I personally love this more neutral palette for versatility.
wet n wild Color Icon 5-Pan Shadow Palette (Shade: Walking on Eggshells)
Another wet n wild product I was blown away with is this 5-Pan eyeshadow palette.
This palette costs less than $3 so when I picked it up I knew it could be a toss-up as to whether or not it was a winner, but it totally was.
The pigmentation is awesome, it blends out like a dream, and I love that it comes with all the shades you need to create a full eye makeup look. It’s also available in other shade combos.
Flower Pyramids Cheek Color (Shade: Rose Glow)
Probably my favorite drugstore makeup find as of late is this STUNNING blush/highlighter combo.
I’m all about multi-purpose products and I love that it combines a gorgeous blush and highlighter in one.
As you can see in the photo below, it’s absolutely beautiful and perfect for adding a pop of color/shimmer to the cheeks.
Do yourself a favor and grab this beautiful Rose Glow shade or Peach Glow.
NYX Lift & Snatch Brow Tint Pen (Shade: Taupe)
I’ve really been trying to find products that create as natural looking brows as possible lately, and THIS IS IT, ya’ll.
Hands-down the best brow pen I’ve ever tried and it creates the most real-looking brow hairs.
Check out my YT video here if you wanna see it in action.
Revlon 24 Hour Colorstay Eyeliner (Shade: 209 Black Violet)
If you want to switch out your regular black eyeliner this month for something a little more fun, then I highly recommend this beautiful black violet eyeliner from Revlon.
It stays in place ALL day and the purple hue is super pretty!
Revlon So Fierce! Big Bad Lash (Shade: Black)
I picked this mascara up on a whim and I’m so glad I did! It’s amazing, ya’ll!
The brush does an awesome job of coating every single lash and makes the lashes look thick, voluminous, and long as ever.
It’s so good it’s officially up there in the best mascara category with my favorite essence mascaras.
If there was ever a lip product I’ve been 110% in love with, this is it.
These lip mousses feel absolutely incredible on the lips, they smell amazing, and they look so pretty!
Plus they’re under $4 each so I kind of want to buy one of every shade now.
Physicians Formula Rosé Kiss All Day Lip Gloss (Shade: She’s A Wild Rose)
I picked this up recently at CVS and it’s jsut the prettiest pink shade ever!
As a gloss girl I also LOVE the glossy finish, but was even more impressed by the fact that it actually lasts on your lips all day.
The lip crayon design makes it very easy to apply and I love the small size for throwing in your purse.
I’m not sure if these Maybelline lipsticks were actually new, but these shades were new to me so we’re including them!
Lately I’ve really been preferring more nude/neutral lipsticks and both these shades are absolutely beautiful.
I also really love the cream finish for keeping the lips hydrated.
Dashing Diva Gloss Ultra Shine Gel Nail Strips (Style: After Glow)
I shared my obsession with these gel nail strips over on my Instagram and I can’t get over how incredible they are!
I’m the kind of girl who can’t keep nail polish on her nails for more than a day, because I’m super rough with my nails, and these gel nail strips lasted over 2 weeks on me with absolutely zero chips.
They’re also SO easy to apply and an affordable alternative to getting your nails done at the salon.
New Drugstore Makeup Fails
elf Camo CC Cream – I had really high hopes for this product based on what other beauty bloggers had said, but it unfortunately didn’t work for me and I returned it.
First of all, the shade range is horrible and the shade I ended up picking up was very warm/orange looking on my skin. I also wasn’t a fan of the formula and found it to be oily/runny on my skin, and it never fully blended out.
A lot of others have loved it and it’s worked out great for them, so it might be worth picking up and trying it out for yourself, but for me and my dry skin it was a no-go.
wet n wild Big Poppa Mascara – This was another product I had high hopes for and ultimately I was left disappointed. Let me preface by saying this isn’t a bad mascara, but it isn’t great either.
I don’t know about you but I’m incredibly picky with my mascaras, and if it doesn’t blow me out of the water I won’t repurchase or recommend it to others.
It does a decent job of lengthening the lashes, but I found the wand to be a little clunky and hard to apply on the corner of the eyes. The biggest let down however, was the fact that this mascara ran super bad under my eyes. I applied it at the beginning of the day and by the end I looked like I had been crying or something and my mascara ran.
I’m normally a huge fan of just about anything wet n wild puts out, but this was a no for me.
