Cute and Affordable Lace Bralettes + How to Wear Them

If there’s one item I’ve grown to love over the past couple of summers, it’s lace bralettes. They’re seriously the most comfortable and light-weight bra to wear during the hot summer months, plus the feminine, lace detail looks cute paired with so many looks.

What Is a Bralette?

In case you’ve never purchased one, a bralette is a type of bra that is traditionally wire-free, lightweight, and typically features a fashionable material like lace or mesh. Unlike regular bras, bralettes are meant to be shown off and are somewhat of a fashion accessory.

Whether you’re wearing a lace bralette under a cute summer dress or going for a more casual look with a loose tee or tank, it’s a fun way to add a flirty, feminine touch to your outfit, while still looking put together.

Where to Shop for Cute and Affordable Lace Bralettes and Lace Lingerie

I’m a huge fan of lace bralettes, but let’s be honest some bralettes out there can be super pricey. That’s why my personal favorite place to shop for both cute and affordable bras and bralettes is Kohl’s, and I especially love all the fun, new styles from Candie’s.

They have so many beautiful items in their intimates collection right now and even better they’re having an amazing sale on all their Candie’s bras and panties from July 22nd-28th.

Bras are only $18.99 and panties are 5/$30, making this a great time to stock up on some gorgeous lace bralettes, panties, and bras. You can shop the sale over here.

I personally couldn’t resist picking up some fun and colorful styles like this lace polka dot bra and panty set pictured below, which I think is absolutely darling! The bra can actually be worn two different ways, offering an optional cross-strap back.

I also love this criss cross front bralette that features an adorable strappy detail on the front. It looks great underneath a slouchy tee or worn by itself as a crop top.

Styling Tips For How to Wear Lace Bralettes

In case you’re looking for some fun ways to style your lace bralettes, there are pretty much endless possibilities. From casual to high end fashion, bralettes add such a cute touch to so many looks and especially look great when worn in the summer and fall months.

Here’s just a few of my favorite ideas on how to wear lace bralettes:

  • Pair lace bralettes with low cut tops, tees, or tanks to add a flirty element
  • Wear with an off-the-shoulder top for a super casual and sexy look
  • Add a halter bralette underneath a halter dress for a more modest look
  • Criss-cross bralettes and strappy bralettes look great worn with an open back dress or top
  • For a cute fall/winter look pair with an oversized v-neck sweater
  • Add a fun pendant necklace or layered necklace to dress it up
  • Wear as a crop top with a maxi skirt for a fun summer boho-chic look
  • Pair with paper bag pants and a blazer or denim jacket for a more professional look

These are some great styling tips! All of my underwear have that lace top. its more forgiving on the love handles lol I need padding in all my bras or I’ll look like a boy but I could always pair a bralette with a strapless bra. I do have lace racerback bras that look very similar to bralettes!

Thank-you! I like them because they’re so darn comfy! I don’t like underwire constantly poking me in my ribs, but it’s totally all about preference and at the end of the day it’s whatever makes you feel most beautiful/confident! When you find that perfect bra it’s golden. 🙂

I love the lace detailing of bralettes but have stayed away because I don’t think they offer enough support for the size that I am. I love the prices on these though, and those panties are so pretty and classy looking!
