Happy Monday Everyone! I feel like the past couple of months have been a whirlwind and I truly can’t believe it’s already mid October. With that said, the fall months are my favorite and I feel like the fall season is always a great time to really reflect on the year in general.

Work has been pretty busy trying to train my co-worker who is taking over my old position, and simultaneously trying to get started on projects for my new role, but all in all I’m pretty happy and excited for what’s in store next.

In the blogging realm, I’m really excited to officially be working with brands and doing sponsored posts. So far, I’ve had the honor of working with both Clear Eyes® & Walmart in creating this gorgeous fall makeup look and SNICKERS® and CVS with this adorable game day hairstyle. I also already have some fun collaborations planned for the upcoming months on my blog and Instagram, so stay tuned for those! 😉

In general, I’ve been trying to get back into creating makeup and hair tutorials again, as that’s where my passion lies. I truly hope you all are enjoying my posts lately and I’d love for you to let me know in the comments if there are any specific tutorials or posts you’d be interested in me creating next. I’m also seriously toying with the idea of starting my own YouTube channel specifically for beauty tutorials, and would love to know what you all think!

Lastly, life with my family lately has been amazing. My oldest son is just getting settled into his school year as a 1st grader, and I’m blown away every day with how smart he is. It’s amazing to just sit with him in the evenings and work on homework together and watch him learn things for the first time. Last week was homecoming week and he loved dressing up for all the themed days. Here’s my little hunk dressed up for “Blast to the Past Day.”

My youngest son is a ball full of energy non-stop, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. As soon as I pick him up after work, he always runs up to me and hugs me with such excitement. It literally melts my heart every day. He’s also my little helper and you can always find him right beside of me anytime I’m cooking, cleaning, or working on something at home. Here’s a picture of him from the other day after I picked him up from his Mam-Mam’s.

My husband and I celebrated a decade of being together this past Thursday. We started dating on Friday, October 13th back in 2006 and have been together ever since. It’s always nice to look back and reflect on all the years spent together, and we had a nice evening watching a movie together at home on the couch. Nothing glamorous, but it was nice and special, nonetheless. He’s not huge on photos, but I love this one we snapped together back in the Spring.

This past weekend we took a mini trip to Knoxville, TN. It was the perfect weather for a fun trip to the zoo, and the boys had an absolute blast. Here’s a couple of photos from our trip:

  12. Congrats on 10 years with your husband! How exciting! I would like to work with brands on my blog but really haven’t gotten to that point yet. I have been wanting to do more beauty posts. Which I have some in the works soon. I’ve also thought about doing a youtube channel but I don’t like being on camera. Yah for new and exciting things for you!!!

  21. Oh my goodness, your boys are just SO cute! That’s so funny that you started dating on Friday the 13th. My parents met on Friday the 13th – in October too. So, we always say Friday the 13th is lucky for us. Glad all is going well, and love watching those kiddos grow!

  41. I live in Harrogate so Knoxville is a fairly common weekend trip for me! Haha. Mainly because it’s the only city near us.

    1. Lebanon, VA a teeny tiny town in Southwest Virginia. I’m about 30 mins from Abingdon, VA and an hour from the Bristol VA/TN area if you are familiar. Knoxville is a great place, I really enjoyed spending the weekend there! 🙂
