Happy Wednesday, Ya’ll! Today I’m happy to share some of my favorite beauty products for the month of May. I’m so excited to share one of my favorite bold eyeshadow palettes for summer, fun nail polish colors, and seriously the cutest cosmetic bag that I found for only $5!

1. Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Palette – Poster Child, $4.49 Amazon

May Beauty Favorites (2)

I purchased this palette at the end of last summer, because I thought it would be so pretty for creating out of the box eyeshadow looks, and it’s been worth every penny in my book. Although these aren’t your normal neutral shades, this palette offers versatility in creating bold looks for all kinds of fun occasions.

Needless to say, I’ve had a blast creating unique looks, and as you can see below, I even recently created a rainbow eyeshadow look that I shared on my Instagram page. You just can’t get more fun than this palette, and the pigmentation is amazing!

2. Revlon Super Length Mascara in Blackest Black, $5.39 Ulta

May Beauty Favorites (3)

I honestly bought this because I recently noticed Revlon changed all of its mascara packaging and was curious to see if their formula was different. The only thing I could come up with is the size of their brushes have increased, but don’t let that scare you.

Surprisingly enough, this mascara is great for everyday wear, and it does a fantastic job at separating and lengthening the lashes. Although the brush is larger than what I’m used to, the bristles were soft and it did a nice job of coating the lashes with product. All in all a good mascara!

3. E.l.f Hydrating Face Primer, $6.00 elfcosmetics.com

May Beauty Favorites (4)

I’m just now entering into the world of primers (I know, I know, I’m so behind!) , and I thought I’d start out with something inexpensive before I start buying the more pricier ones. I must say I was really impressed with this.

As someone who has drier skin, I was looking for something that would help with hydration and I definitely noticed my makeup stayed put longer with this applied first. I will note that this primer has a very strong Vitamin E smell, in case that bothers you, but it’s really not that noticeable. Other than e.l.f., what other primers do you all recommend?

4. Wet n’ Wild Shine Nail Color in Blazed and Be More Pacific, $0.99 K-mart

May Beauty Favorites (5)

I’ve been on the hunt for really pretty, bright nail polishes for Spring/Summer, and these fit the bill. The shade “Blazed” is a beautiful coral color, while “Be More Pacific” is a gorgeous turquoise. Both remind me of the beach and make me happy! Call me nail polish obsessed, but I couldn’t pass up adding these to my collection.

The “Blazed” one is not yet on the website, but I found it on a new display at the end of the makeup aisle in K-mart, and I’m guessing you could probably find it at your local drugstore. Such pretty shades!

5. Cosmetic Bag, $4.99 Wal-greens (In-Store Only)

May Beauty Favorites (6)

I mean how cute is this bag, really?! I saw it out of the corner of my eye in the store and I was so excited to find it was the very last one. You guys, seriously go scour the aisles of Walgreens now and find this. It’s too cute not to have!

The inside is lined with pink and it’s the absolute perfect size for carrying your makeup brushes and lipsticks, and would even be great to take on an overnight trip. And it pretty much has my life motto on it. 🙂

    1. Thank-you so much! The nail polishes are such pretty colors, and for some reason remind me of a mermaid-haha

  19. I think everyone should have at least one colorful palette like this…it’s always fun to play with color, even if you’re just going to wear it around the house. 😉
I have oily skin, but I have heard that the Make Up For Ever hydrating primer is a good one, I use their mattifying primer and I really like it. But it is pricier, I would try their travel size first.
Love those nail polish colors…I need some fun vibrant colors for Summer!

    1. I agree! I think people are always scared they will end up looking like a clown if they work with bold colors, but the trick is mixing it with neutrals, and then it doesn’t look so over the top! I mean I definitely don’t wear rainbow shadows to work-haha, but it’s a fun look to create for other occasions! 🙂 I will definitely look into that primer, thanks!

  20. Wow that eyeshadow is amazing!! I definitely want to check out that primer for $6 it seems like a steal

    1. Thank-you! It was one of those purchases that I was like well if it’s horrible it’s only $6, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the quality!

  21. That palette looks like a lot of fun! I loved the look you created with it. I recently started using a primer about 5 months ago, so don’t feel bad about being behind. I use Tarte’s Timeless Smoothing Primer. My make up stays on really well with it and its extremely smooth. Those nail polishes look like a lot of fun and I love that make up bag.

    1. Ooo I’ve never looked at that one. Now I’ll have to be on the lookout for it! 🙂

    1. Aw thank-you! & let’s be real you’re gorgeous and would never look like a clown! 🙂

  22. I love ELF & Wet N Wild products. Awesome quality and prices! <3

&& Your eyeshadow is on point! I wish I was that talented! 😛

    1. Elf & Wet n Wild are probably my fave drugstore brands! & Thank-you so much! 🙂
