Happy Monday everyone! Hope each of you had a great weekend. I’m excited for this week because the boys get out of school for summer break and it’s my oldest son’s birthday on Wednesday. He’ll be 8 years old, can you believe it?!
Anyways, today I’m sharing my review of some of the most beautiful liquid lipsticks I’ve been using lately- Buxom Va-Va-Plump Shiny Liquid Lipsticks. These gorgeous liquid lipsticks are long-lasting and perfect for wearing this spring and summer to add a fun pop of color to your makeup looks.
Let’s dive into the full review below, as I share my thoughts on the Buxom Va-Va-Plump Shiny Liquid Lipsticks and why I think everyone should add at least one of these to your makeup collection!
Buxom Va-Va-Plump Shiny Liquid Lipsticks Review
As you all know, I’m a huge lover of bright lipsticks and these new tropical collection Buxom Va-Va-Plump Shiny Liquid Lipsticks are no exception.
First of all, can we talk about the gorgeous packaging for a minute? Not only do the tropical flowers look super beautiful on the lid, but the contrast between the black and the bright colors are so eye-catching!

Second, let’s talk about the actual lipstick formula themselves. Unlike most liquid lipsticks, which are matte, the Buxom Va-Va-Plump Liquid Lipsticks have a beautiful shiny finish that looks so pretty on the lips. I personally really love the fact that these lipsticks are shiny because even when I wear matte lipsticks I always like to add lipgloss on top to give it that glossy finish.
As for the plumping effect, you will feel a slight tingling sensation upon application, but it doesn’t burn and wears off in a few minutes. Combined with the shiny formula, they help your looks appear fuller and I’d definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a beautiful, bright lipstick for spring/summer.
They also apply really nicely and truly last ALL DAY LONG- even with the shiny formula. Oh, and in case you were wondering the formula isn’t sticky and is actually really smooth and creamy when applied.

Each of the shades in this tropical collection are so bright and fun and I love that there are colors for every shade preference. Paradise Found is a beautiful reddish coral shade, Guava Kiss is a perfect bright pink, Heat Wave is a stunning orange color, and Deep Dive is a deep berry shade that would even be perfect for fall.

Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog and I am loving it! Your review was very thorough and I love that you include swatches. I do have one question though-how does this perform as a plumper? I looked over your review twice in case I missed it, but I couldn’t find any real mention of the plumping effect. Do you find that this is, indeed, a plumper? If so, does it make your lips burn and/or tingle?
Hey there! I apologize for my delayed response- I’m just now seeing this comment. I went back and re-tried these to check out the plumping effect and when you first apply them you will feel a slight tingling sensation. It doesn’t burn or anything and subsides in a few minutes. Combined with the high shine gloss finish, I do think they make your lips appear fuller and the colors are super gorgeous and bright. These colors are all gorgeous!! They definitely align with your amazing ability to wear such rich colors!! It looks like they stay really well, as opposed to bleeding around (if that makes sense?). I love both of the pinks!! Orange isn’t really my style, lol.
Thank-you! And yep they do- probably my favorite liquid lipstick formula at the moment. I never thought I would like orange shades either but once I tried it I actually love wearing it in the spring/summer for a pop of color. It actually goes with my blue eyes well lol (who knew?!)
Buxom makes some of my favorite lip glosses!!! I am almost out of my beloved Kimberly color right now. These are so bright and gorgeous for the summer!!!

I love those colors! I have a problem with some matte liquid lipsticks being too drying, so these seem like a good option
They’re so pretty! And I completely agree- I’ve had my fair share of liquid lipsticks that have been SO drying and unless your lips are really hydrated it will show every little crack and crevice and doesn’t look cute. These have a great moisturized formula that look great and last all day.
Omg the packaging and colors are SO FUN for summer! I’m in love!! And I’m so happy to hear it’s not sticky. That’s my biggest pet peeve. I definitely need to try these. 🙂
Oh my gosh mine too. Lipsticks/glosses have to pass the hair test for me- if my hair blows into my face and gets caught in it- it’s a no go- LOL! Thankfully this one definitely passes. 😉

It’s super gorgeous and I really do think it could be worn just about year round. And yep- I’m always adding gloss so I really love this particular formula not only for the staying power but for the glossiness that helps lips look a little fuller.
