Easter Egg Rice Krispies Recipe

Rice Krispie Treats are seriously one of my favorite desserts because

a. they’re easy with simple ingredients

b. they’re delicious

c. they’re a somewhat healthier treat

Items You’ll Need to Make Them:

The two items you’ll definitely need to make these adorable Easter Rice Krispie Treats is this Easter egg cookie cutter.

I love that this set also comes with a carrot and bunny that would also be super cute.

You also need some spring colored sprinkles which make these rice krispie treats look so pretty.

I just adore how the pastel sprinkles look in the Easter egg rice krispies, and of course they taste yummy too!

You could also decorate your Easter eggs with some colored icing on top, but I personally love the simplicity of this recipe with just using sprinkles.

Tools Needed:

How to Make Egg Shaped Rice Krispie Treats

After preparing Easter Egg Rice Krispie Treats as instructed in the recipe card below, here’s how to make them:

Step 1:  Evenly Spread the Mixture

On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, carefully spread out the rice krispies mixture evenly until entire sheet is covered.

Step 2: Let Them Cool

Let the the rice krispie mixture cool for a minimum of 10-15 minutes.

This step is important because if you try to cut them too soon, they will be too warm/sticky and hard to handle.

Step 3: Cut Them Out

Using this egg shaped cookie cutter begin cutting rice krispie treats.

**A good tip for getting the mixture to form better into the egg shape is to lightly press down with the back of the spoon before releasing the “egg”.

I also recommend cutting your eggs as close as possible, so that you don’t have as many scraps. (although those are delicious for snacking on!)

Step 4: Serve

Serve your Easter Rice Krispie Treats on a platter/plate and enjoy!

Store any leftover easter egg rice krispie treats in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
