Life Lately in Photos- End of Summer '17 Edition

Hey everyone! Hope all of you are safe and doing well right now. My heart breaks for all of those who have been affected by the storms and disasters going on around the world right now, and just know that you are each in my thoughts and prayers. The part of Georgia where my husband is at right now is unfortunately supposed to get hit pretty hard this evening, so please keep him in your prayers alongside everyone else.

My absence on the blog last week was completely unplanned, but trust me when I say I wasn’t just sitting around binge-watching Netflix (haha don’t we all wish we could do that?!) In fact, things have been super busy lately, which is why I wanted to share some updates with you and of course share some fun photos from all the happenings in my world!

Life Lately in Photos- End of Summer ’17

First of all, I wanted to share our good news! After what felt like weeks of ups and downs, we finally found a home we absolutely love and are in the process of closing on it! The inspection cleared last week so now all that’s left is selling our home here in Virginia. If everything plays out right, we’ll be Georgia bound the first weekend in October! I just want to say thank you to all of you who sent me such sweet comments, and I truly appreciate all of your prayers and well wishes!

And now onto the photos!

Our boys’ officially started school a couple weeks back, and here’s a photo from their first day of Kindergarten and 2nd grade!

My little cuties are growing up so fast, so I love snapping photos with them every chance I get.

We also love being silly every chance we get!

Our oldest just recently had to get glasses and I think he looks so adorable! I told him he is now part of the cool club, since both me and his brother have glasses too! 😉

Last but certainly not least, we recently had family photos made, and I’m in love with how they turned out! Here’s just a few of my favorites from our session.

  1. Love love love the family photos!!! I hope that Chris and I start doing this with Zoe. If not every year…then every other year or something. The pictures of the boys are too precious. Congrats on finding a Georgia home!!! When my family moved there when I was in HS, we moved in October too! Its a good time to go 🙂 I wish you all the best on the sell of your current home.

    1. Believe it or not this was the first time we had family portraits professionally made. My husband is like anti photo, which is funny because I take photos all the time lol. But I’m really happy with how they turned out and I think I can prob convince him every couple years or so now lol. And thanks! We have an open house this weekend so fingers crossed we have a good turn out.

  3. Your family photos turned out so good! Love the dress you are wearing in them. I had to get glasses when I was in the third grade, but I definitely no where near as cool as your kids are with their glasses!

  8. Congrats on finding a home! That is so wonderful. Beautiful family pictures!! They came out amazing. Your son is so cute with his new glasses. I had to get glass when I was little too and it was an adjustment. Even to this day, I always say four eyes are better than two!

    1. Thanks so much! We’re t-minus two weeks from moving and trying to get our house sold right now. Moving can be such a stressful thing but I’m excited to finally get to see my hubs again! 🙂

    1. Thanks Jessica! You’re so sweet! I use Colgate Optic White toothpaste for everyday and about every 3 months I whiten them using the Smile Science whitening system. Not trying to be salesy at all but if you’re interested you can get it for $29 with my code CARAMUA. I’ve also used the Equate brand whitening strips from Wal-mart and they’re like $14 and work awesome too! Have a great weekend!
