Happy Monday, loves! I recently shared my love for the Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights in my 2020 Drugstore Makeup Favorites, so today I thought it would be helpful to put together a full review and swatch all the shades for you.
Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights Eyeshadow is definitely a hidden gem at the drugstore and they’re SO pretty!
If you love wearing liquid eyeshadow and adding a pop of shimmer to your eyelids, then this product is definitely for you.
Even better it’s an affordable makeup product you can pick up at Target, Ulta, or online at Pixi.com.

Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights Review
The Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights are a gorgeous liquid glitter eyeshadow that can be worn alone or used as an eyeshadow topper to add extra sparkle to any eye makeup look.
They’ve been around for a few years now and are a makeup product I reach for quite frequently when I want to add some glitter/sparkle to my eye looks.
I ALWAYS receive so many compliments on my eyeshadow whenever I use this product and it’s an affordable alterative to the high end Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows.
Ingredients:
These liquid eyeshadows are paraben free, cruelty-free, and contain rosewater and chamomile extracts to hydrate and nourish.
I found these two added ingredients to be very soothing on the lids and it has a very pleasant “cooling” sensation.
The shimmer/glitter comes from the ingredient mica, and I personally did not have any irritation from these.
Packaging/Formula:
The Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights come in a slim, transparent tube with a doe-foot wand applicator. The slim, small design is convenient for throwing in your makeup bags and traveling.
The formula is creamy, easy to apply, and long-lasting. Every time I wear these they definitely stay put on the eyelids ALL day.
In terms of fall-out, these probably have the least I’ve seen in liquid glitter eyeshadows.
I’m not going to say you’re not going to have any fall-out, because that’s pretty typical with any type of glitter-based product, but I’ve never ran into an issue where it gets all over the place on my face.

Shades:
Currently there are 5 shades total including Crystalline, Sun Ray, Passion Light, Rose Gold, and Bare Brilliance. All of the shades with the exception of Crystalline have a pigmented base in addition to glitter/shimmer.
Size/Price:
The Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights are 0.18 fl oz and are currently priced at $15 each at Target and on Pixi’s website, or you can get the shades Bare Brilliance and Sun Ray in this affordable two-pack at Ulta for only $12.
For comparison, the Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows cost $24 each, so you can definitely get more bang for your buck with these, and they are just as gorgeous.
How to Apply Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights
Use as an Eye Topper
To get the prettiest effect, I recommend using these glitter eyeshadows as an eyeshadow topper with your eye makeup looks. Although the shades are pretty applied by themselves, they are pretty subtle when worn alone.
If you’re going for a more “wow-sparkle”, colorful look, then you’ll want to pair these with complementary eyeshadow shades.
Apply With Finger/Flat Brush
For the easiest application and minimal fall-out, I recommend using your fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush and gently dabbing or patting on the desired area.
This will really help you better control product placement and will help ensure it stays in place.
I also recommend applying before doing your face makeup so that you can easily wipe away any glitter fall-out with a makeup wipe.
Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights Swatches
I honestly think all 5 shades are so beautiful! I love that they are all pretty neutral and easily pair with so many different eyeshadow shades/looks.
As I mentioned above, I prefer using them as an eyeshadow topper or finisher to my eye makeup looks to add that extra sparkle, but you can also wear them alone for a pretty, shimmery eye look.
My personal favorites in the bunch are Bare Brilliance, Sun Ray, and Rose Gold.
- Crystalline – Sparkling white, silver, iridescent glitter eyeshadow. The most sheer and versatile of all the shades.
- Sun Ray – Gorgeous golden, warm-toned glitter eyeshadow with large flecks of gold. Looks beautiful with brown eyeshadow.
- Passion Light – Reddish brown eyeshadow with warm undertone and flecks of gold. This would be fun with more bold looks.
- Rose Gold – Beautiful rose gold with pink/gold shimmer.
- Bare Brilliance – Beautiful medium brown shade with warm golden glitter. One of my personal favorites!
