Another cult-favorite in the beauty world for several years now is this awesome mascara. It’s been one of my go-to’s for many years and I would definitely compare it to the Too Faced BTS Mascara (which is amazing).
It’s just an all-around awesome mascara and if you’re looking for something that does it all, this is it. It lengthens, adds volume, and curls the lashes, and is a truly buildable mascara for creating falsie-looking lashes.
Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara – Best Drugstore Mascara for Lengthening + Curling Straight Lashes
Another ride or die mascara I’ve had in my makeup collection for several years now is the Sculpted Volume Mascara from Essence.
Prior to using this lash serum, my lashes used to always be stick straight. This mascara has always did an amazing job of lifting my lashes and giving them a beautiful curl, as well as lengthening and adding volume.
All that combined with the fact it’s only $4.99 makes it one of my all-time favorite drugstore mascaras!
Physicians Formula 3-in-1 Lash Mixologist – Best Drugstore Mascara for Lengthening + Strengthening Lashes
Everyone knows Physicians Formula for their unbeatable Butter Bronzer and awesome face products, but I’m here to tell you NOT to sleep on this amazing drugstore mascara.
This affordable two-sided mascara lengthens, adds volume, and conditions the lashes to keep them looking healthy and beautiful. The lengthen side wand does a great job of separating out every tiny lash, and the volume side wand makes your lashes look feathery, dramatic, and so pretty!
This one is probably my favorite buildable mascara and I love that you are getting two wands for one low price.
Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes Mascara – Best Smudge-Proof Drugstore Mascara that Lengthens + Volumizes
Last but certainly not least on this list of the best drugstore mascaras, is this amazing smudge-proof mascara from Essence. I’ve only been using this mascara for around a month, but it’s quickly grown to be a favorite!
If you have allergies or eyes that water a lot and your mascara tends to smudge, I highly recommend this mascara. It is seriously smudge-proof, lasts all day, and is just as amazing as all the other Essence mascaras in lengthening, adding volume, and curling the lashes.
It is also surprisingly easy to remove and wipes off gently with warm water (which is unusual for most smudge-proof mascaras).

If you really want to give your lashes a boost, I HIGHLY recommend using this awesome and affordable drugstore mascara primer.

I completely agree! Plus with the quick expiration on mascaras, it’s not super cost effective to spend a ton on mascara. Which benefit mascara is your favorite? I’ve never tried any from them.
Lash paradise is my favorite. I love the purple Essence but hate the green. Weird, right? I love when you can find a few good drugstore mascaras!
I had stopped using Lash paradise for awhile but recently started again and it’s just SO good! And that’s so funny because I used to be the same way with the essence ones. I’ve always loved the purple but gave the green another chance and it actually makes my lashes look better than the purple one when I compared the two. But mascara is like any makeup product out there- wear what works best for you! 🙂
