Tartelette In Bloom Review
I’ve been using the Tartelette in Bloom palette for a long time now and I can honestly say it’s hands-down one of my favorites.
I love its amazing blendability, color payoff, and the fact that it looks just as great at the end of the day as it did when I first put it on.
Tartelette In Bloom Palette Packaging
1. It’s Gorgeous
Right off the bat, there’s no denying how gorgeous this Tarte eyeshadow palette is.
This palette features beautiful + bright pink, purple, and red flower petals on the front of the packaging, and features gold on the sides, back, and inside of the palette.
2. It’s Travel-Friendly
Upon opening the Tarte in Bloom palette, there is a full-size mirror and the hard plastic casing is very well made.
All in all, the size, durability, and the inclusion of a mirror makes it the perfect eyeshadow palette for traveling with and using on-the-go, without fear of it breaking.
Tartelette in Bloom Palette Ingredients/Formula/Performance
Great for Sensitive Skin
As with many of Tarte’s eyeshadow palettes, the Tartelette in Bloom palette is formulated without:
- parabens
- mineral oil
- phthalates
- triclosan
- sodium laurel sulfate
- and gluten
This makes it the perfect eyeshadow choice for those with sensitivities.
Soft Formula That’s Easy to Blend
It’s infused with Amazonian clay and mineral pigments that create a buttery, smooth formula that’s easy to blend.
One of the things that most impressed me with this eyeshadow palette is the formula itself.
The shadows are so soft and have almost a velvety-butter formula that blends like a dream.
Beautiful Colors/Extreme Pigmentation
I also love the rich pigmentation, and you really don’t have to pick up much product at all on your eyeshadow brush.
Tartelette in Bloom Palette FAQ’s
Is Tartelette in bloom warm or cool?
The Tartelette in bloom eyeshadow palette is the perfect blend of both warm and cool shades, making it a great choice for anyone looking for an everyday neutral eyeshadow palette.
You can definitely create a range of eyeshadow looks with the different shades in this palette and they are extremely flattering for all skin tones.
If you’re looking for a warmer eyeshadow palette, I’d recommend the Tartelette in Bloom Toasted Palette, which has the most gorgeous warm shades!
Are Tarte eyeshadows good?
Yes! The buttery smooth formula in Tarte eyeshadows makes blending so easy and they are one of my absolute favorite eyeshadows.
The pigmentation is also great and the colors are beautiful on the eyelids.
Is Tarte scented?
Yes. The Tartelette in Bloom Palette does have a slight vanilla scent to it, but it’s not overpowering or overbearing.
As someone with a sensitivity to products with heavy fragrance, I really love that the Tarte eyeshadows aren’t heavily scented.
Is Tarte cruelty free?
Yes! Tarte is cruelty-free and doesn’t test on animals, nor does it suppliers.
Tartelette In Bloom Palette Shades/Names
Onto the actual shadows, this Tarte eyeshadow palette contains 12 gorgeous shades including 9 mattes and 3 shimmers.
I personally love the great mix of warm, cool, and neutral tones – perfect for makeup beginners and those looking for a versatile palette.
The Tartelette In Bloom Palette has everything you need from neutral base shadows in Charmer and Flower Child, to transition shades in Jetsetter, Smarty pants, and Sweetheart, deep tones for creating depth in Smokeshow, Activist, Leader, and Rebel, and beautiful shimmers in Funny Girl, Rocker, and Firecracker to add a fun touch of sparkle.
If I’m being the slightest nit-picky, Smokeshow is a little chalky and takes a little more work in blending it in- but honestly I find this to be the case with all black eyeshadows in all my eyeshadow palettes.
(It’s always a good tip to start with the slightest amount of product and continue building up when working with dark shades like black and chocolate.)
- Charmer (off white, matte)
- Jetsetter (warm taupe, matte)
- Rocker (taupe, shimmer)
- Smokeshow (black brown, matte)
- Flower child (peachy nude, matte)
- Smarty pants (tan, matte)
- Firecracker (bronze copper, shimmer)
- Activist (dark brown, matte)
- Funny girl (champagne, shimmer)
- Sweetheart (peach, matte)
- Rebel (chestnut brown, matte)
- Leader (aubergine, matte)

Hope you enjoyed today’s post on my review of the Tartelette In Bloom Palette! What do you think of this eyeshadow palette? Let me know in the comments below!
Great review and pics, thanks! I just bought this and am sadly returning it. I find the shadows harder to blend than some other brands, and since I don’t always want to do eyes first, the fallout is a deal-killer for me.
Glad the review was helpful to you! So sorry this palette didn’t work out for you. Have you tried Lorac pro palettes? They’re really easy to blend and don’t have as much fall-out. Alternatively you could always try using shadow shields, which help catch any fall-out if you want to do your face makeup first.
That palette is gorgeous! I absolutely love a good Tarte palette. Those colors are beautiful on you!
Thanks Nadine! I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality and feel of the eyeshadows. They’re super soft and blend easily. Glad to hear you really like them too! 🙂
Hello, gorgeous! Love, love, love the look you created with this palette (on Instagram, too!). This instantly became one of my favorite palettes last summer, and I still use it almost daily.
Just sayin’,
Karly @ What Karly Said
Thank-you SO much! I love that it’s one of your favorites too- I wish I would have discovered it sooner because it’s the perfect size for traveling and everything! I want to try out the other one soon too.
Tarte has SUCH good palettes! Love the colors in this one and the look you created, so simple and fun!
They really do! I wish I would have hopped on the bandwagon sooner, because they have such great pigmentation and blend like a dream. And thanks friend! 🙂
Another gorgeous palette, and love that the packaging is perfect for spring <3
