Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta FAQ’s

Can I use another type of pasta?

Sure! Our family loves Farfalle (bowtie) noodles, but you can certainly use 8 ounces of your favorite noodle instead.

Fettucine, penne, rotini, or linguine would all be great substitutes!

Can I add in veggies?

Yes, absolutely! My husband and I love adding in peppers and onions for a more authentic Cajun meal, but you can add in any vegetables you want.

Spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, or asparagus would all be yummy additions!

Is Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta Spicy?

Not really, but it does have a smoky kick!

Cajun seasoning is typically made up of salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Can I increase/decrease the spice level?

Yes, you can definitely increase or decrease the amount of Cajun seasoning used in this recipe depending on your preference, but I’ve personally found 2 tsp is the perfect mild/medium spicy level. Even my kids love it and don’t find it too spicy.

However, if you want a more mild spice try reducing to 1 tsp.

While pasta is cooking, add the Oven Roasted Diced Chicken to a large skillet and season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.

Cook over medium/high heat for 2-3 minutes to sizzle and stir until chicken is evenly coated with seasonings.
