Banana Nutella Muffins
We’re huge fans of banana muffins around these parts and while I absolutely love my Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins, I recently discovered a new favorite flavor combo when I added in swirls of Nutella on my youngest son’s birthday.
He’s probably the biggest Nutella fan I’ve ever met, and when he mentioned the idea I was instantly onboard and instantly a fan.
Let’s just say it was love at first bite and now my boys won’t stop requesting these muffins.
Every time I buy bananas, it’s almost as if they are purposely letting the bananas go ripe just so I’ll make these. I’m not complaining though – they’re so delicious!

Can I Use All-Purpose Flour Instead of Self-Rising Flour?
These muffins are made with my favorite self-rising flour which is a pre-mixed blend of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a small amount of fine salt.
If you don’t have any, you can make your own with this easy DIY self-rising flour recipe or grab a bag via the link below!
What Muffin Pan Do You Recommend?
This 12-Cup Muffin Pan is my absolute favorite! I never have an issue with my muffins sticking and it’s so easy to clean.
Muffin Tips:
- Do not overmix your batter. Stir until just combined to prevent the muffins from getting too dry.
- Do not overbake your muffins. The amount of time these muffins will take will depend on your oven, so I recommend starting with the lower time, checking them, and adding additional time if needed. Again, overbaking will cause dry muffins.
- Use a scale to measure out your flour in grams or use the spoon and level method to ensure you don’t add too much flour. Adding too much flour can make the batter too dry/dense.
