A couple weeks back I shared a first look at the new Physicians Formula Organic Wear Collection in this post, and one of my favorite products from the collection is the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Lipsticks.
These organic lipsticks are not only beautiful and nourishing on the lips, but best of all they’re made with natural, organic, and earth-friendly ingredients for a clean and affordable drugstore lipstick you’ll absolutely love.
Today I’m so excited to share a full review of all the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Lipsticks and lipstick swatches of all 6 gorgeous shades.
Spoiler alert: the Physicians Formula organic wear lipsticks are one of my favorite drugstore lippies to date, and if you love beautiful, bold lipsticks, then you’re going to obsess over all the beautiful colors!
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Lipstick Review
Packaging
First up let’s talk about how beautiful the physicians formula organic wear nourishing lipstick packaging is!
I love the simplicity with the white and the splash of the color with a lipstick swatch on each.
The bottom part also gives you a good idea of what the color will look like, and while it isn’t 100% an exact match of what it looks like applied on the lips, it’s pretty close.
Shape
I also really love the shape of the lipsticks which not only looks pretty and reminds me of my favorite high-end lipstick, but it also makes application really easy.
The lipsticks have a pointed tip with straight edges that can be used for first outlining the lip (similar to a lip pencil) and then the flat part is easy for swiping across the lips.
Key Ingredients
Of course one of the main benefits of the Physicians Formula organic lipstick is it’s made with all organic, good-for-you ingredients.
It’s also extremely nourishing and hydrating made with:
- Organic Shea Butter
- Organic Coconut Oil
- Organic Jojoba Oil
- Antioxidant Vitamin E
Formula/Pigmentation
As far as the formula goes, I’m a huge fan!
This lipstick is ultra-hydrating, has a velvet and creamy smooth texture, and I can’t get over the amazing color payoff and pigmentation!
Traditionally organic lipsticks and/or clean beauty products in general don’t have as much pigmentation as those with synthetic dyes, but the physicians formula organic wear nourishing lipsticks are honestly amazing in terms of pigmentation and have the benefits of being hydrating on the lips.
Performance
In terms of performance, the physicians formula organic wear lipsticks wear really well throughout the day, and overall has great lasting power.
Like most lipsticks, you do have to reapply after eating and drinking, but it’s honestly such a nice, hydrating texture on the lips I totally don’t mind the reapplication.
And at such an affordable price point these organic lipsticks are 110% worth every penny.

As I’m a colorful lipstick kind of gal, I absolutely love all of these shades, but even if you’re not as into bright colors the shades Buttercup and Desert Rose both would be great everyday lipsticks.
I also LOVE the shade Spice and Goji Berry for the fall and winter season ahead.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Nourishing Lipsticks Review – Overall Thoughts
All in all, the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Lipsticks are honestly one of my favorite drugstore lipsticks to date and I 110% recommend them.
The extreme pigmentation, bold and beautiful shades, and of course the fact that they’re made with organic, clean ingredients makes me love them wholeheartedly.
In fact, I love them so much I wish/hope they make more shades and expand this beautiful organic lipstick collection very soon. I’m thinking more nude and mauve shades would be SO gorgeous!

Those colors are gorgeous!!! I really like that raspberry one! I have been a big fan of physicians formula. I love their bronzer and highlighter and they have replaced super high end brand stuff for me in those areas.
The raspberry one is one of my faves- though I love them all lol. And I agree- I don’t know why anyone would buy a high end bronzer when the PF butter bronzer is ah-mazing!!
