I splurged and purchased the infamous Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipsticks.

First things first – is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick really worth it?
As a budget-shopper, I’m totally surprising myself with this answer, but YES I totally think it’s worth it!
My advice when it comes to splurging on makeup/beauty products is this:
If it’s going to be a staple item in your makeup collection and you know you will get a ton of use out of it, then it’s worth it.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Pillow Talk – What You Should Know
Of course I wouldn’t just recommend a lipstick without going into the details of the product, so let’s dive into a breakdown of the formula, shade, packaging, ingredients, and price of these lipsticks.
Formula/Finish
The pillow talk lipsticks are a moisturizing matte formula enhanced with the antioxidant lipstick tree and orchid extract for a soft, kissable finish.
These lipsticks also contain 3D glowing pigments that enhance the natural hue of the lips.
While these lipsticks are a matte finish, they’re not overly drying, and have a really nice and comfortable velvet-smooth feel on the lips.
Color/Shade
The pillow talk lipstick has been described by many to be the perfect nude lipstick, and I must admit – I completely agree!
The OG pillow talk lipstick is a beautiful nude pink shade that perfectly complements the natural lip color and gives you “a kissable pout” that looks effortless.
Is pillow talk universally flattering? I would say 110% yes!
Packaging/Design
The packaging is just as stunning as the lipstick itself with a rose gold case that looks super luxurious.
It is also the perfect size for carrying in your purse or a small clutch.
My favorite part though? The square angled tip of the lipstick itself.
It mimics the shape of a lip brush, which helps you achieve really precise application, even if you don’t have a lip pencil.
Ingredients
This lipstick is made gluten-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and vegan-friendly.
The lipstick does have a slight vanilla scent to it, but it’s not overpowering or overwhelming.

I’m honestly blown away with how gorgeous both of these shades are.
And while I tend to prefer wearing the original shade for everyday wear, I LOVE how the medium shade looks paired with more full-faced makeup looks for date night and special occasions.

I personally think it really brings out my blue eyes and the warm tones really brighten up the face.

Are Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks drying?
I’m happy to report that these lipsticks are not drying, and the formula itself was one of the things I was really impressed with.
Normally matte lipsticks can be super drying and you have to be careful as they can sometimes emphasize any dry or cracked areas on your lips.
Fortunately, I found these lipsticks to be hydrating, and they have a satin-smooth texture that feels really nice and comfortable on the lips.
Is Pillow Talk Charlotte Tilbury long lasting?
In terms of being long-lasting, I would say these lipsticks do a great job of staying in place for several hours without having to do touch-ups.
I’ve found it usually lasts me around 5-6 hours without having to touch it up, and although there is some transfer when eating/drinking, it doesn’t smear all over the face or anything like that.
Is it the most long lasting lipstick I’ve ever tried and will it last up to 10 hours like CT claims?
No, but it’s long lasting enough.
You can also extend the wear of this lipstick by filling in and lining the lips with the pillowtalk lip pencil before applying.
Is Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick worth it?

Thank you; that’s saved me a £28+ gamble on CT! – I have the same issue with most lipsticks looking orange on me, so I’m pretty sure CT would be another! *I recommend Burts Bees ‘Peony Lip Shimmer’; it’s a similar nude colour & still the only lip shade I’ve ever found that doesn’t go orange /odd on me, plus it’s way cheaper! 🙂
I own several CT products and I love them. I have yet to be disappointed thankfully seeing the products are more of a splurge! I’m so happy you loved both of them. I do like all the CT products that I have tried. They are pretty pricey, but worth it if it is something you are going to wear regularly. These shades are gorgeous on you!
