Cracked Pumpkin Makeup Halloween Tutorial
This is Halloween, this is Halloween, pumpkins scream in the dead of night! I’m SO stoked to start off this Halloween season with a fun + easy Halloween pumpkin makeup tutorial. Pumpkins have always been one of my favorite things about Halloween so naturally I’ve always wanted to create a pumpkin makeup look – but with a twist.
This fun cracked pumpkin makeup look takes a spin on a classic pumpkin mixing elements of a skull with some girly/glam on the other side. To make it look even more real, I chose to bring the pumpkin makeup down to the neck to make it look like it a dripping pumpkin, if you will.
I’m kind of obsessed with how this halloween pumpkin face look turned out and the best part is this cracked pumpkin makeup look is actually really easy to create!

3 Tips for Creating this Pumpkin Halloween Makeup Look:
- Use good quality face paint. I 110% recommend Mehron Makeup face paint, and it’s night and day better than any cheap face paint you’ll find at the drugstore. It will last all night, won’t stain your skin like lesser quality ones, and my skin never gets irritated from it. Plus, it’s so much easier to blend out and more beautifully pigmented!
- Use a fine tipped eyeliner like this one. When it comes to doing detailing on the face, you want something that will allow you better control and more precision, and an ink eyeliner with a felt tip is your best choice. I also prefer ink eyeliners over eye crayons because they are more pigmented, won’t smudge, and will last all day.
- This one is pretty common sense, but I thought I’d include it just in case. Put your hair up when you are creating this look to avoid getting face paint all over your hair. I might even recommend putting on a headband that you can throw in the washer afterwards so that you don’t have orange face paint all on your hairline.
