Easy and Delicious Oreo Brownie Trifle
Happy Valentine’s Day friends! I’m so pumped to be sharing what I consider one of the most delicious, decadent desserts with you today that is seriously a chocolate lover’s dream- Oreo Brownie Trifle.
Made with rich layers of brownie pieces, an indulgent chocolate pudding, creamy whipped topping, and yummy Oreo pieces, this brownie trifle is almost too good to be true and oh so perfect for any special occasion!
Easy and Delicious Oreo Brownie Trifle
Funny story: even though we’ve been married for almost 9 years, my husband and I rarely if ever do anything for Valentine’s Day. We’re just not that into the commercialism of it, I guess.
I mean don’t get me wrong flowers are pretty, jewelry is great, and of course who doesn’t love getting chocolates, but we’ve always just been more about celebrating our love for each other everyday.
And if there’s one thing I try to do for my husband on a regular basis to show him how much I care, it’s make him yummy treats for us to enjoy together. Of course this delicious Oreo Brownie Trifle has quickly became one of his favorite requests, and I don’t complain one bit because it’s absolutely amazing. Not to mention, both our boys adore helping make it and just love licking the spoons after we’re finished. 😉
From the soft, gooey brownies to the decadent whipped pudding mixture, you can’t help but fall in love with this brownie trifle at first bite. And if I’m being honest, beyond the unbeatable taste, one of the main reasons I’m such a fan of this oreo brownie trifle is a. it’s incredibly easy to make and b. it looks super fancy for entertaining without a lot of effort. (This trifle bowl is the best!)
Simply whip up a box of your favorite brownies (Betty Crocker Milk Chocolate is our favorite), stir together the pudding mixture, crumble up some Oreo cookies, and start layering!
It’s really that simple and the hardest part is having enough self-control to not eat a brownie while making the brownie trifle. But if you do, I won’t judge. 😉
If you don’t yet have a trifle bowl, I purchased this inexpensive bowl on Amazon for such a great price and I’m so happy with it! I seriously can’t wait to start using it to make other trifles and desserts this spring and summer, and I think it’s the perfect dish for taking to parties and gatherings.
Helpful Extra Tips :
- 8×8 Brownies work perfect for this brownie trifle recipe. Make them from a box (we love Betty Crocker milk chocolate) or pick up some store-bought ones, just make sure they are plain with no frosting.
- Make sure you let the brownies cool completely before assembling your brownie trifle. You can even make them a day ahead, if desired.
- Use a large ziplock bag and rolling pin to crush the Oreo cookies mess-free.
