Today I’m sharing one of our favorite Christmas cookie recipes- Magical Peanut Butter M&M Christmas Cookies!
Made with the same delicious homemade cookie dough in my Mom’s Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies these M&M Christmas Cookies are truly magical and the addition of red and green peanut butter M&Ms make them perfectly sweet + festive and undeniably good!

Magical Peanut Butter M&M Christmas Cookies
The holiday season always seems to fly by way too quickly, which is why I always make it a priority to spend time with my family while doing our favorite activities and traditions.
So far we’ve watched lots of Christmas movies including Elf and Home Alone, made the cutest pinecone ornaments for our tree (you can check those out over here), and just this past weekend I finally managed to get all of our presents wrapped! #feelingaccomplished
But one of our absolute favorite family traditions is of course baking together and these Peanut Butter M&M Cookies always make the top of our holiday baking list!
As a huge peanut butter lover, I’m a total fan of these “magical” peanut butter M&M Christmas cookies which have the absolute perfect flavor combo! Beyond that, I just adore how the red and green M&Ms make the cookies so festive and pretty!
By the way, these cookies were named by my 5 and 7 year old who claims the cookies give them magical powers after eating them. 😉
While I’ll let you be the judge of whether or not they give you magical powers, I can pretty much guarantee that if you love peanut butter, chocolate chips, and the best cookie dough around, then you’ll be in seventh heaven while eating these cookies!
Magical Peanut Butter M&M Christmas Cookies

Magical Peanut Butter M&M Christmas Cookies are soft, delicious, and have festive, red and green peanut butter M&M chocolate candies that everyone will love to eat for Christmas!

Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup Peanut butter M&Ms (holiday colors)
Instructions
- Mix butter, egg, and vanilla in large mixing bowl
- Add in sugar and brown sugar until creamy consistency has been reached
- Slowly add in flour 1/2 cup at a time
- Carefully stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms
- Spray cookie sheets with non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment paper
- Evenly spoon out cookie dough balls onto cookie sheet using cookie scoop
- Place in 375 degrees preheated oven for 8-11 minutes
- If desired, carefully press additional M&Ms into warm cookies after removing from the oven.
Notes
If desired, refrigerate dough overnight or at least 2 hours prior to baking. This is especially helpful on rainy or humid days.
Store baked cookies in airtight container for up to 7 days
Pair these M&M Christmas cookies with a glass of cold milk or a cup of hot cocoa with extra marshmallows, and you have yourself the absolute perfect Christmas treat to enjoy this holiday season!

Are these suppose to have peanut butter in them ?
Hi Sheila! No, this particular recipe only uses peanut butter M&M’s and you don’t add any extra peanut butter in them. However, if you want double the peanut butter flavor, I recommend using this recipe for your cookie base and then subbing either half or all the chocolate chips for peanut butter M&M’s. Enjoy!
