Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Bake (Easy Pizza Casserole)
It’s no secret our family loves pizza themed recipes. We frequently love making my Pepperoni Pizza Lasagna Roll Ups, Mini Pizza Muffins, and Pepperoni Cheese Stuffed Pizza Bites when we have a pizza craving.
But one of my favorites for a busy weeknight is this Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Bake also known as Pizza Casserole.
This Easy Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Bake is made with rotini noodles, tomato sauce and features a delicious blend of ground sausage seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasonings.
Topped with diced pepperoni, gooey mozzarella cheese and shredded Parmesan, your whole family will love this delicious Pizza Casserole dish!
Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Bake
Just like any casserole, this Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Bake is so easy to make and tastes delicious! The kids will love the simplicity of this meal, but feel free to add in veggies like chopped spinach, diced onion, or mushrooms to kick up the flavor and nutrition level.
How to Make Pizza Casserole
First in a large skillet cook the ground sausage (or ground beef) over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain the meat and place bake in the skillet. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, and top with spaghetti sauce. Stir until combined and remove from heat.
While the ground sausage is cooking, boil the rotini noodles in a pot as directed. Once fully cooked, drain the pasta and add to the ground sausage mixture. Stir until combined.
Next, transfer the noodles and ground sausage to a greased 13 x 9 glass baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, diced pepperoni that has been quartered, and top with sprinkled parmesan cheese and additional italian seasoning, if desired.
Bake the pizza casserole uncovered in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the top is a light, golden brown.
