Healthy Banana Bars with Chocolate Chips (Paleo/Gluten-Free)
Happy Tasty Tuesday everyone! Today I’m excited to share a new recipe creation with you all that is perfect for either breakfast or dessert – Healthy Banana Chocolate Chip Bars. These healthy banana bars are made with simple ingredients including bananas, coconut flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, dark chocolate chips, and delicious cashew butter.
Throughout my recent Whole30 journey one of my favorite flavor pairings was bananas and cashew butter. Cashew butter is a delicious alternative to peanut butter and it tastes amazing in baked goods. And because I’m now allowed to eat dark chocolate again, I knew I wanted to combine all three flavors together and create something delicious.
Enter in – Healthy Banana Bars. These delicious bars have just the right amount of sweetness with the bananas, cashew butter, and dark chocolate, while still keeping it on the healthier side, replacing added sugar with applesauce and using coconut flour instead of regular flour to keep it gluten-free and Paleo. They’re also perfectly soft and chewy with a similar consistency to blondies.
And good news – these banana bars work perfectly for eating at breakfast or for dessert and totally hit the spot when you’re craving a healthy but yummy banana recipe!
