Hey everyone! Today I’m SO excited to share my absolute favorite easy pizza dough recipe – 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough (AKA Weight Watchers Pizza Dough).

This simple two ingredient pizza dough is incredibly easy to make, tastes delicious, and is so much healthier than store-bought pizza dough.

It’s our family’s go-to pizza dough recipe anytime we’re craving pizza, and it’s so yummy you’ll never believe it’s made with just self rising flour and plain, non-fat Greek yogurt.

My family and I absolutely LOVE homemade pizza and we’ve been making this easy 2 ingredient pizza dough with self rising flour for a couple years now.

I truly wish we had discovered it sooner because it’s THE BEST pizza dough.

Not only is it quick and easy to make with my favorite self-rising flour, but it’s so much healthier than pre-made and store-bought pizza dough which is loaded with all kinds of preservatives and artificial ingredients that aren’t good for you.

After doing my first Whole30 a few years back, I’ve really tried to maintain a cleaner diet overall, and even with indulgences like pizza I still want to make smarter, healthier choices.

That’s why whenever we make homemade pizza we always opt for this delicious and super simple 2 ingredient pizza dough (also known as Weight Watchers Pizza).

 

What is 2 ingredient pizza dough?

It also really is as simple as it sounds and is pizza dough that requires only 2 ingredients including self-rising flour and non-fat plain Greek yogurt.

The self-rising flour gives the dough a quick rise with no yeast or waiting time required,  and the Greek yogurt adds a delicious flavor and makes the dough tender and pliable for easy rolling.

 

What does 2 ingredient dough taste like?

It tastes like regular pizza crust and has a soft and chewy texture that is so perfect.

 

Why is 2 ingredient dough healthier?

Not only is it free of preservatives, added sugar, and artificial ingredients normally found in pre-made pizza dough, it’s also packed with protein thanks to the plain, non-fat Greek Yogurt.

Tips for the Best 2 Ingredient Pizza Dough (Weight Watchers Pizza Dough)

 

Use Plain, Non-Fat Greek Yogurt 

You can use whatever brand you like, but make sure you use plain, non-fat Greek yogurt for the best results.

Regular yogurt is too thin and will result in a wet, sticky pizza dough that is difficult to work with.

Plain non-fat Greek yogurt (on the other hand) is thicker and has more protein in it, which will give you a better texture and is healthier.

 

Add Some Flavor

This pizza dough is absolutely delicious prepared as-is, but if you want to amp up the flavor I recommend adding in 1 tsp each of garlic powder and Italian seasoning and mixing with your dough.

 

Make Sure Your Flour is Fresh

There’s nothing worse than using expired flour and then your dough not rising properly. Always check the expiration date on your self rising flour and when in doubt – toss it and get a new bag. (I’ve shared my favorite below)

 

Use Parchment Paper and Baking Sheets

I recommend baking your pizza on parchment paper and large baking sheets to ensure the pizza crust bakes perfectly even and golden.

I use these both for cookies, French fries, breads, etc. and they’re amazing for even baking and make clean-up a breeze.

What Kind of Yogurt Can I Use?

For this 2 ingredient pizza dough, I recommend using only plain Greek yogurt, not regular yogurt. Regular yogurt will make the dough way too sticky and hard to handle and won’t result in the same tender crust.

You can use either non-fat, 2%, or full fat Greek yogurt depending on what you have on hand, but personally I use the 0% non-fat and love it.

 

What Brand of Greek Yogurt is Best?

You can use any brand you prefer, just make sure it’s plain and fat-free.

I love this one the most, but I’ve also used store-brand with great results.

 

How Can I Make Self-Rising Flour?

If you only have all-purpose flour on hand but want to make this 2 ingredient pizza dough, good news – you can make your own with this easy recipe!

Simply add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of all-purpose flour.

If making the full amount for this recipe, simply double the amount.

 

Why is My 2 Ingredient Dough Sticky and How do I Fix it?

If your dough is sticky, it’s likely due to the brand of Greek yogurt you’re using – since different brands can have different amounts of liquid/moisture in them.

Pizza dough can also be impacted by the weather and depending on whether it’s a humid day, your dough might be a bit stickier.

This is an easy fix and all you have to do is add a little bit of flour until it’s easier to work with when rolling out.

I recommend only adding about a tablespoon at a time, to avoid adding too much.

 

How Do You Make a Crunchy Pizza Crust?

This weight watchers pizza crust is more chewy in texture, but if you want it to be a bit more thin and crispy, I recommend rolling it out thinner and baking on a hot pan.

Simply place your baking sheet or pizza pan in the oven while it preheats, then transfer the dough onto the pan and bake as directed.

 

Can I Freeze My Pizza Dough?

You could – but I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s such a quick and simple recipe that requires little to no effort and is best prepared fresh.

However, you can make it ahead of time and/or freeze leftover pizza.

Can You Make 2 Ingredient Pizza Dough Ahead of Time?

Yes, you can prepare this self rising flour pizza dough up to 2 days in advance. Simply prepare the pizza dough as directed and store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to bake.

First preheat your oven to and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Next, prepare your dough either by hand in a large mixing bowl or in a stand mixer.

If I’m making a double batch, I prefer using my stand mixer because it’s less messy and less work, but this pizza dough is also extremely easy to make by hand.

 

How to Make Pizza Dough Without a Mixer: 

To prepare by hand, combine the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour and stir with a fork until the dough is shaggy/crumbly.

 

How to Make Pizza Dough With Stand Mixer: 

Use a dough hook and combine the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour until a thick dough forms.

For this pizza, I added pizza sauce, freshly shredded Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, shredded Parmesan cheese, and my favorite Garlic and herb seasoning.

    Have tried it using parchment paper and without. Without does get it little crispy but can stick but dash of white cornmeal helps…

    Love your site and understand you got to make a buck, but all your ads turn me off. Maybe stop the popup ones? Hard to use on mobile.
